You're probably well aware of this, but if you are on at least a semi populated x-realm, you can turn on your WM, go to timeless isle, and go ham on people with the chi-ji buff from shrines (+25% 2ndary stats across the board). I've beaten a number of well-geared 120s with this method and it's pretty damn fun.

It's the place to be during MoP timewalking, since everyone has to turn in the quest item there. Lots of traffic regardless of realm then.

110s and 111s do very well there vs 120s, too. Those buffs are ridiculously strong. Though I find that I do best with the Niuzao buff (I don't have issues with my damage vs 120s) to survive 1v2s and 1v3s etc.

Where does one acquire said buff?

You click on one of the https://www.wowhead.com/object=222776/time-lost-shrine (if it's been clicked recently, it won't be interactable for a few minutes). You can get nothing (small dmg spell on you), or one of 4 buffs - 25% dmg reduction, 20% stats buff, 25% crit+haste+mastery, and 15% dmg done (this last one is crap, at least for 111s the stats ones are MUCH better).

Additional tips:

Look under trees for fallen fruit. When clicked, it gives you a small stats buff for a few minutes.

If you go up to the Ordos area, there are red flowers outside it that can give you the aforementioned buff PLUS a 5 minute hot that heals a few % of your max hp every few seconds (very strong). You don't need to enter the Ordos boss area (which requires MoP legendary cloak), they are outside.

There's https://www.wowhead.com/item=103642/book-of-the-ages that drops from random mobs - use it to gain a proc for your main stat. The other similar item drops are irrelevant for PvP afaik.
