39 Shaman Talents Inquiry

Ok guys, so a few things.

Here is the spec I was planning on running for my Enh:

Opted for 2/2 Imp Ghost Wolf/Guardian Totems instead of 5/5 Flurry (now 3/5) and 0/2 Imp Weapon Totems.

Will be using PoD.

What do you all think? Viable? Am I taking away too much from the team without Imp Weapon totems? Is 3/5 Flurry okay since WF has a 3 sec Internal CD (PoD will be around 2.88 speed with 3/5 Flurry)?

These stats don't include +100 HP to head/legs, and +15 agi isn't out yet for gloves.

Ok gear wise you're super squishy and inconsistent. Robes of the Lich but no Miner's Hat? And Tiger helm with agi bracers but no Tigerstrike?

In terms of talents I skip Lightning Shield personally, and you can go up to 4/5 Flurry with a PoD. Gaurdian Totems is ok but also not crucial, I would aim for more dodge.

I'm sitting at 2029 hp, 1.7k mana pool. 15% crit.

Inconsistent how?

No Tigerstrike bec. I'd rather have raw AP than more crit. 15% crit is a good benchmark imo… am I wrong? I get less sta+ with Tigerstrike, and the bracers make up for the lost agi.

No Miner's hat bec. I'm not aiming for a huge mana pool at the expense of Str. It's less Sta than if I opted to use Pith Helmet instead alternatively.

Honestly I haven't seen Unearthed Bear bracers, Nocturnal Cap of the Bear or Spirewind/Quillward on my AH really so things could change in that department.

Feels like you're evaluating things on an item by item basis, for instance suggesting that one item makes up for another's weaknesses. If you just consider overall stats and weight each one you won't have those problems. For instance Battlehard Cape is objectively weaker than even a 7/7 Bear.

I hear you on availability, so at the very least I have to recommend a Bear helm and Arachnid Bear gloves. I think you are far too squishy myself, and those items are dubious glass choices imo.

I'm going to agree with you on the Bear Cap.

Link a 7/7 Bear cape? I couldn't find one on Wowhead. Best I could find was a 6/7 Bear cape (Cabalist) which when I compared to Battlehard only resulted in a difference of 1 AP at the expense of 20 hp. Statwise, not a big difference, and Battlehard IS the better option.

Gloves of Holy Might vs. Arach of the Bear? You're choosing 100 hp vs. 1%crit.

I've scoured these forums looking at the BiS lists and different char templates for enh. I've seen quite a few different ones, and I think it comes down to playstyle. I see templates with like 2.4-5k hp, 400 ish AP but around 3% crit.
That's not enough crit for me.

I don't see anywhere on XPoff forums benchmark stats to strive for. Like what % crit/hp pool/mana pool to aim for etc. I know it comes down to whether you're going to be totem twisting/mid-farming/glass cannon meming-out.

Objectively, I don't want to sacrifice crit chance for a health pool. (Why hit large amounts if you are going to crit once every 20 hits?)

Objectively, I can give up some armor for a larger mana pool (think Lich robes).

You can scope out the 39 BiS Standards for a reference, but keep in mind crit and other scaling is way off.
