F2P Faction Imbalance

Why does no one seem to ever mention this bracket atm is 90% Alliance. You pretty much have to premade as horde as when solo queuing its super common to literally be the only fkn horde twink in your team.

Makes for kind of shitty games tbh

I totally agree! Alliance is very overpopulated right now.

Sure ... as every Ally claims the opposite time to time ...
I wish it was 90% Ally atm ... but my stats since 8.1.5 came out say something else ...

I mean ... anyone loosing several BG can say that "the opposite faction is overpowered currently" ... but it doesn't mean that it is a fact and that it happens to everyone else ...

Switching side just to get in the "winning team" is just a dumbass move imo ...
My opinion is : stick to your character(s)/faction, queue alone, and play for fun ... the win doesn't matter ... it's a game ;)

Horde is the way to go! Alliance do get the best items, and all the best farmable gear is in alliance zones. It really all depends when you queue as well. I play a few games early in the day and it's usually myself and maybe 1 or 2 other horde, and it seems like the alliance have been consistently having atleast 2 hunters, 2-3 arcane mages, and 3-5 healers. By no means is that a set in stone number, but it's really the demographics of times when you play. Around noon or so the board is balanced, and just because they have more twinks and healers does not mean they are going to win. I won an eots with the most haggard group of levelers I have ever seen with 0 healers and I was on my boomie. Arcane mages aren't scary when you 2 shot them =)

Nobody mentions it because any "imbalance" is largely an illusion. It's likely youve just had a bad run of games or were simply queuing out of sync with a number of horde twinks.

If there is an actual imbalance, they don't get mentioned because they tend to iron themselves out after a while. It wasn't but three months ago that everyone was bitching that this bracket was all horde.

Maybe its when I play (Oceanic timezone) I can honestly say that I am quite often the only recognizable twink on my team and the Horde F2P in game community is dead as fuck. I realize a few high profile F2P players are Horde but my admittedly brief F2P experience, at least at the time of day I play, its been almost comically one sided in terms of factions balance.

Unrelated question, is it common for F2P/Vet players to form groups and premade? Im guessing a higher level player could initially invite and then leave the group or something similar, my question doesn't stem from perturbation or judgment, im just new to this bracket and the unique elements it has that other brackets dont share ie inability to invite. Is creatively bypassing this restriction and queuing as a party a normal and accepted everyday occurrence in the bracket?

I feel its pretty even on both sides. Win some/Lose some.

I will admit that I don't seem to face horde twinks - but that may mostly be due to the times that I log in.

In my experience, Horde seems to have better healers and a medium advantage on Eye of the Storm. Alliance wins most of the Arathis and Warsongs.

I have only recently started playing f2p again on Frostmourne but from what I’ve seen, numbers seem fine with an avg queue time of around 5-10mins alliance side.
Hordes ‘quality’ of twinks seem better though.

I am all about more alliance, it's faster queues for the horde. That's one of the things I hate about 120, 7-10 minute queues to get into a damn bg.

To be honest, I'd say it's probably more like 60% Ally 40% Horde.

It's really not that bad, and I'd say doing randoms...Probably equal in the wins/losses department most nights. :)

S/he's not wrong. At least, for the last 2 or 3 weeks it's been that way. Think I've lost every game I've played last two weekends. Bad losses too. Not fun losses where you at least made them work hard for it.

You know in Tintin, where the Thompson twins are driving along in the desert, and a car passes them by so fast that they think their own car must have stopped, so they open the doors and step out? That kind of loss.

Brihan I think it's a US thing. EU are more classy = plays more Horde ;)

Yeah, sure, it can be a US thing ^^
I given my opinion on EU, because it's where I play, and that the OP didn't precise on which region he was having this problem.

US may be Alliance-sided ... even if I heard the opposite few weeks ago.
In case of EU, it only depends on the day ... some days it's nearly 100% horde wins, another one it's 100% alliance wins, and some others are balanced.

Iirc, there was a time not so long ago, where groups of vets were going willingly on the "loosing side" to try to balance it out.
This may be the solution ... but you need to find ally main who wish to be invested to balance the bracket ...
