Addons you remember from vanilla

Hey all,

What kind of addons were you guys using in vanilla out of interest?

I wasn’t into PvP let alone twinking all that time ago so I only really remember TomTom and QuestHelper personally.

Also seeing as from the recent interview it seems that the game will be built using the old database and tech, what challenges do you think modern addon developers will be faced with when Classic releases?

tomtom is still around isnt it? But out of addons that have completly fallen off the map since I'd put stuff like Questhelper and Omen Threat Meter

I was 'tier 1 noob' player in vanilla. No add-ons, no keybinds, no macros but enjoyed the game. Then I've played in Nostalrius for a few months. All kinds of add-ons were avaible for vanilla/classic wow. Auctiooner, Qhelper, Omen, Cartographer even that hunter auto attack rotation add on... Vque was the most beautiful one imo. No more LF Healer WC!!! spams.

The original bigwigs. omen threatmeter. are a few of the biggies for me ;p

Bongos was a programmable action bar addon. Really nifty.

MoveAnything is just as the name says. An addon that allowed you to move a lot of ingame UI frames. Character portrait, target, target-of-target, focus target, cast bars, party members, anything really. Also insanely handy.
For back in those items that'd of been lit!

I remember being required to download some kind of addon for a BWL risen/premo alt run. Mind you their alts were in AQ40 stuff so they could bring a bunch of scubs like me. If I remember correctly I got bloodfang bracers for 20g, the belt for 40, and the fist weapon off the random dragon bosses for like 100g. Looking back, I don’t even know how I got in that raid, or how I even had the gold to buy those things. Stuck in the ether of my awkward youth

There was an addon that OmniCC was based off of but can't remember the name. I remember switching in BC as the other stopped getting updated, it just showed the cooldowns of your spells on your actionbar.

There was also perl unit frames which i preferred to xperl. Also preferred bartender to bongos actionbars.
