Hello twinks! Recently, my computer broke and I need a new one. I'm looking for the one of the cheapest computers (preferably laptop) that features Wow at a decent speed. Any suggestions? Mostly just need to do Warsong Gulch at 19s I don't need any endgame shit.

Any suggestions??

Hmm I know you want a laptop but you should probably just get a cheap HP desktop, at first it might not run WoW on high settings but at least then you can throw in some new parts which is pretty easy when you want to upgrade.

Should be able to get an i5, with a bad graphics card and maybe 4-6g of ram for about 400-500 USD tops

Eventually you can replace the GPU wand ram with something nice, and maybe move to an i7 at some point, but that is probably overkill for just wsg.

I recommend using newegg.com or if there is a local microcenter, that place is awesome.

Get some older refurbished business laptop for a margin of the original price, but still better for games than new consumer laptops with "U" CPUs. My ex roommate used to have one with NVIDIA Quadro K2000M and 4 core HQ cpu for like 450€. He was able to play wow at pretty good fps on med+ details.

It was "dell precision" no idea which model, tho.

In my experience going into Best Buy to buy a laptop is the best option. At least where I live they have a really big selection, their prices are as low as anywhere, and a laptop selection is in part a personal choice of what you want it to look and feel like after you determine your price bracket. Then you can return it easy if you find it it is not handling WSG how you want.

I agree with getting a desktop. I disagree with getting anything HP. They tend to be a pain in the ass to upgrade. Very proprietary to their own crap. My brother had a HP desktop and a HP laptop and both were buggy shitboxes. Also, HP just announced they were laying off 5000 people and downsizing. So if you have problems you might have more issues getting them resolved. Walmart is mad at Amazon and they are competing with them online. You can buy prebuilt budget gaming PCs from either of them, Ebay, or Newegg.

For 10-19 modern Intel integrated graphics (skylake/kabylake/etc) is more that enough even at Full HD resolution (1920*1080). No need for additional graphic card.
Yes, desktop iGPUs are enough, but what about iGPUs from those low TDP CPUs in laptops which became really popular in recent years. I’m not sure.

Great, guys. Thanks for all the tips and info I will certainly use this to my advantage. Much appreciated! Me being technologically slow, buying a new computer is pretty painful. This is great stuff.
