During the last free play time, I was able to sell my Elixir of Tongues stacks on the AH for close to full price. I don't know if people have had similar experiences with Orboreal Shard, or Immortal Shard, but that could be reason enough to choose Elixir of Tongues as your gold sink of choice...

I tested in Tanaris, and I got dismounted (35/35). It might be specific to cata zones. Side note, I just figured out I have been saying "Tanarsis" for the last 20 years. EDIT: My mistake, I missed the reference to old school flying. I can mine while mounted if I remain in mid-air.

I have solo farmed it on 2 Paladins now. It's not fun, but it can be done.

So far, with my completely random assignment of 130 knowledge points and 75 jewelcrafting skill, I can use 248 concentration to craft a tier 3 setting.

I don't think you can warband bank it. Warbound until equipped is only for some of the new expansion drops.

You must be grouped with someone 10+ (or 11?) levels higher than you to enable legacy loot rules. The other way is to be grouped with a someone who can trade it with you. (Int or Agi DPS class). Both of you need game time to trade, and it must not be an "upgrade" for the other character, or...

Further to this, now we can save a lot of gold, and spend it on things during the next free game time. What are you saving for? How are you going to get the gold to pay for it? I am eyeing of a nice shiny Lightforged Warframe, just gotta save that gold.
