US TC Arena Testing results!!!

Hey twinkidees!!!

We ended up testing RMP mirrors (With no weapon enchants) and it ended up being a lot of fun in the end.

For those who are interested in a sneak peak to what we will see in the cup, go to;

https://www.twitch.tv/muskiebad/v/71348352.

Since no one has proposed to me anything that is as balanced as this, I will be most likely going with this, as i think this has the best shot for entertaining games.

I did speak to hbizzle about underpowered 3'a but there was a chance that games could be too drawn out depending on the comps. If I could, I would of gone down this route but the rules would been needed to be further refined to have entertaining games and no one is willing too put the time and effort to do this. If I was able I would but I'm working too much and it's hard to get everyone together to test when I am avalible so im going down the route I previously mentioned.

I know this won't please everyone but I'm sure this is the most entertaining choice to go through.

Sorry to those who might be upset but I'm truely doing what I think is best as a whole.

Thanks for everyone's support this far.

Edit: I will be putting $500 AUS in the TC but most likely in the arena tournament to bring some hype. Will let you know once confirmed.

rsham/rogue/mage is higher skillcapped - i said this in last post

Interesting thread, watched the VOD, mirrors get boring to watch after a while. "Underpowered" per say comps only, would be more interesting. Maybe to achieve this certain specs from classes (BM monk, WW monk, or in short anything highly bursty that brings control) and a format (melee/ranged/healer) could be implemented to encourage comp variety plus slower and more "control orientated" based games.

This still is about the dumbest thing I've ever seen done. Glad to know that the TC rules can be purchased.
too much aspergers to see the 30 likes i guess, eh nothing will change your mind tho! living is a bribing scum :^)

As I said before, not going to work unless people tests to see what works and what doesn't (Which I already know people won't put in the time to figure that out. My rules from the 29 arena tourney would be more entertaining then underpowered 3's.

Last season was basically bm/Mage/priest mirrors anyways and nobody complained.

What I have show this far has been games that aren't to quick but are not to long either. Until anyone can bring to the table video evidence with what else works. Then there's no point arguing over the matter, it's all just theory until put into practice.

I could sit here and type out every single competitive yet not overpowered 3v3 comp right now, testing isn't required. I highly doubt an all RMP arena section to the tournament will happen due to the amount of repetition in games. That in itself will be tedius

What might be a more suggestible idea would be to select a certain number of team compositions that are allowed due to their competitive nature (e.g. RMP, Demo RLS/P, MageEleDisc, EleDemo/AfflictionRsham/Disc, etc) and allow teams to select the comps they wanna play out of a list. It would spice things up much more and maintain a viewers attention much better. Something along these lines sounds all around more fun for everyone to me.

Sounds like it has potential. Will do some more research.
