Additional NWL rule discussion

hey guys, I've only recently begun to participate in the NWL and was frankly disappointed to find out that one of the rules from the Twink Cup was not carried over. I brought it up to Conq and he thought it would be a great idea to have the community discuss it.

The rule was "in wsg if teams are the same faction they will alternate between horde and alliance side for the first two games, the side that each team gets on he third game will be decided by coin flip, if there is an overtime game the sides will alternate again".

If this rule was implemented it would keep games fair and consistent.

What do you guys think?

How do you chose wich team gets wich side? what I remember is it was a huge pain in the ass to get teams on the correct sides for this

As one of the people who q'd the games in the twink cup, it was pretty hard to do it, swapping sides was frustrating haha

I would like to see the rule be put back into action, but I'm afraid the delay would really be frustrating

It wasn't too much of a delay imo. And I feel like the wargaming queue system is less buggy now than during TC?

Uggtw don't care about what side we are on, we'll still ream your asshole.

Doesn't matter which side you're on tbh
it's basically the same concept in regards to sports. for example, in the NBA teams will switch sides at halftime. it's simply done to eliminate any sort of advantage a team may have playing on that side. Just like some people would argue they play better on horde side because the jumps are easier, or the stump in the middle is more advantageous for horde, maybe playing on a decline is a disadvantage , or perhaps looking at a greener scenery is easier on the eyes, etc.

if this change was implemented, it would be fair to have both teams play on both sides.

i'd happily play on whichever side the opposing team believes is weaker :)

Most of the advantages of horde side was removed by banning most of the jumps. But I guess it's fair to switch sides and coinflip on 3rd.
