375 engineering on a 60

If you faction change, is it possible that it can drop or revert to 300 like that whole gnome thing where you lose the 15 points if you change to nongnome?

Everyone have the ability to get 375 engineering at level 60, but gnomes can get 390. If you faction/race change away from gnome you'll lose the 15 points. (390-15=375)

Since gnomes have the ability to get 390 engineering you can pick up these tinkers:
Flexweave Underlay - Spell - World of Warcraft
Frag Belt - Spell - World of Warcraft

Note that these two requires 380 engineering to be taught, but "requires an Engineering skill of at least 350" to be used, which means you'll keep the tinkers and the ability to craft/use them when you faction/race change.

As you can see here I still have them even though I only have 375 engineering.

Everybody has access to the frag belt and parachute cloak at 375, the only difference in a gnome engineering at 60 is the ability to equip the noise machine and sonic booster.

@OP no you won't lose any profession points upon a faction transfer unless you're transferring from a gnome, in which case as rob said you'll drop from 390 to 375.

rob i'm not lying to you. i fully understand that's what wowhead says, but i'm telling you otherwise. all of my 60's have them.

I have the tinkers too, even though I'm 375 - because I picked them up as a gnome.

Wowhead says it, in-game says it and the official wow site says it (source)

if you refuse to believe me regardless of screenshots

that goes both ways doesn't it

edit: show me your tinkers on your druid :)

edit 2: and your priest

my druid doesn't have them or access-to them. i wonder if this means only classes that can be gnomes have access to tinkers at 60? this is weird, anyone else at 375 with tinkers and not a gnome?

Your priest doesn't have it either, can only be picked up while being a gnome, so it's not about being able to be the class as a gnome, but actually being a gnome

Scroll down past the "requires goblin engineering" part and you'll see the 380 tinkers at the trainer (on your druid)

right no i get what you're saying but xb has never been a gnome. he was born as an undead in 2011, then female human in 2013, then male and recently night elf this year. edit: and my priest is on a banned account hence the 'x' at the end of her name not being up to date at all

I'm not arguing about if your character has been a gnome or not

I'm correcting your previous statement;
Everybody has access to the frag belt and parachute cloak at 375

Which is wrong, as I've shown you in-game (source), on wowhead (source) and official wow site (source).

Also this,

nor were any of my 60's aside from obviously Waterbottle, and they're all tinkered up.

and

but i'm telling you otherwise. all of my 60's have them.

When in fact, only Xb (source) and Waterbottle (source) has them - your priest (source) and druid (source) does not. (2 of 4, 1 currently being a gnome)

Whether you think your warrior has been a gnome or not doesn't concern me,
I just want to correct the statement of everyone having the access to tinkers at 375 which they don't. :)

One could have learned 450 Engineering pre-nerf, learned and applied the tinkers, dropped engineering, and leveled engineering back to 375.

But that is unlikely.
