Coming Back to my Roots

  • Hello!

I've had quite some time off from playing this bracket (since mid MoP) and am wanting to now come back and give it a go as i havent for sometime and see how things are.
As i am on EU im wondering if there is any active servers around, i remember Twisting Nether and Aggramar being popular on Alliance and Horde respectively.

I still have my old toons from back in the day and wondering whats still good and worth re-rolling as i have a feral druid but i hate the fact that they are as OP as they are or so i have heard.

So basically, im looking for suggestions of where to level a character, classes that are good but not ridiculous and also any of the WoD changes that i should know about.

    Much love, Bacon

Tbh, ferals have been nerfed so they are pretty mcuh equal to the rest of the classes. Twisting nether is still a good realm also maghteridon for alliance at least.

-Bracket changed from 20-24 to 20-29
-20s can now queue for EOTS and AV (doesn't pop atm tho) 2vs2/3vs3 arena without rating
-29s can also queue for gilneas
-You can play lvl 20 or lower characters that are located on a p2p account even though you dont have gametime (-> 20s with BIS enchants). Playing f2p characters is not much fun anymore due to that fact (if you dont play disc/feral)
    -new neck-, ring-, trinket-, holypallylooms

What I face most of the time is a bunch of ferals/rogues/discs+restodruid FCs. The other spots are usually filled with arms/ret/hunters/ww & bm monks/balance druids. If you want to play a class that's not played that often:

    1. Go Vet
    2. Restoshaman/mw monk if you want to play a healer. If you want to play a DD dont roll a feral/bm/ww/rogue and I'm happy.

A caster would be great because they are kind of lacking during wod. But mages/warlocks suck if you dont have a premade (mages suck even if you have a premade I think). An elemental shaman would probably be the 2nd best choice for pugging after boomkin (boomkins are not that rare).

    Edit:

    Obvious troll is obvious.

    hi !

    Hey, welcome back.

As you mention, Aggamar and Twisting Nether are populated, another server on Alliance is Magtheridon.

If you have any gear you can play as balance on that druid although i'd go Wrogen for balance (personal choice, fits me better since i can also FC, and when i am about to land a Fero-Bite as a boomie, i can reach the target faster. And if he is ranging his healers, root the healer then darkflight after him.) If you like feral that much, don't let the others stop you from playing it. It is not a players fault for a class being that broken.

Other than balance, i'd go with Destruction/Demo Lock, Mage, Rogue. As for healing, Holy Paladin is at its weakest hour, if you feel like playing one, go ahead, its still cool though.

You're welcome at Magtheridon make sure you've got "F2P Addon enabled" :^)
Lots of activity and a nice community :>

Which healer would you say to play which isnt Druid as ive played it before and not by cup of tea?

Edit: How good are Enhancement too as i have one at 100 and they are fun?
Edit2: I have a P2P too, is going veteran worth it also as that is an option for me?

Enhancement can be fun, yeah. And the strongest healers at the moment are Rshamans / Dpriests. Followed by Mistweaver - Holy Paladin - Resto Druid.

Yay enh shaman! Good choice. It's very great when played properly. The only classes I have trouble against as enh is hunters and maybe rogues.
