Why the hell people need sponsorships?

    • I see posts or recruitments about "sponsorships" and "donations" for bringing new players to every bracket, is this what you want people that will join cause of gear? where is the twink spirit and the way that it used to be? i spended a lot of time back at wrath to farm items like "Necrology Robes", whole "Fang Set" but why now especially people need sponsorships?
    We need people with twink spirit, not people that want gear to get attracted of "twinking"...
    I m not criticize any action that people do for their brackets, in my opinion those actions are more than enough, but think about what kind of people you want in your bracket... i always gear up my twinks in my own, never asked for boosts, never asked for gear, never be at anyone's favor... maybe it took me more time to gear up any twink that i had but at the end i was proud for my progress..
     
    If anything the funding is more for enchants , on some servers an enchant can cost 500g+ for a single piece and it's not like you can farm an enchant is SFK lol (and enchanting newly f2p to Vet helps balance out the bracket a bit when you're going up against 29's constantly.
     
    I know that but i talk also about "19" and "29" they do it also, you can also use a 10 days trial as Vet and farm with your main "Enchants" and other stuff ... or even if you don't have a main is very easy at 10 days to farm a lot of things if you spend some time...

    people may not have gold or high lvl characters on the realm where they want to create a twink, so guild leaders are willing to fund people who they think will be good for the community/guild.
     
    It's not like people are demanding that they get funding if someone wants them in their guild. There's lots of guild's with an excess of items for twinking that they've been collecting over the years, if they can afford to gear up a player then why not? Easier than grinding to 100 on a realm so you can twink a fresh toon, it's really just an incentive to bring players into guilds / twinking. It's not like people getting funded are incapable they're just getting a little help to jump into twinking faster.
     
    Alot of people just cba farming all the shit temselves which I understand very well. Twinking isnt what is used to be, with its perks and cons. If you love farming so much, go ahead, noone is demanding to fund you.
     
    Simple answer...
    People are always wanting something for nothing.

    Gold is easy to come by. You don't even need a high level to obtain it. My lonely little level 20 has over 40,000 and has gotten all it by itself.
    Another level 20 on AP has over 22,000.
    And those are not even my main servers and I hardly even play as much as other people play. It is just a matter of not wanting to mooch off of people. I prefer my independence. Some people prefer to be dependent on others. I do not.

    A lot of the "recruitment" threads want people to come to their servers. And sponsoring is a way to entice them to come there. Many of today's twinks have way more time than they do gold/gear. Or even care to earn it, as we can see from some of the earlier posts. In other words, they are lazy. They would rather you do the work and they reap the benefits. You know, like people sucking off the government teet(Welfare). This is where the name "Welfare twinks" came from BTW. Unskilled workers that get something for doing nothing...
    So there you have it...

    I like to give new ppl my Gold. Later I like to brag to everyone that I am broke and I dont know why.
     
    Having been funded i used it as a way too play a twink on a new server. The community makes it better then solo queing all the time. I still play the twinks i geared and funded myself too. With one 29 ive managed to self fund 2 vet 20s and another 29.
