    • So I just saw the thread with me using guard. That was my 2nd BG in the bracket so far since the big revival, I played a few games a few months ago when we organized them for a night or two. First game I was asked to stop using guard and said I'd think about it. I get the idea behind it but is it really that big of a deal that it needs to be banned at 39? Mine for instance is 7k, people are hitting pretty hard and can blow through that pretty easy. Moran posted it and he's on a feral, is feral not banned? But guard is?
    Also Disc is by far the toughest heals in the bracket. I strongly believe that no class could 1v1 a disc. Should they not be played as well? Or disallow bubble? Just tossing out some ideas to help even things up.
    Rules like this are bullshit. Especially where guard isn't even all that bad at this level. I had this brew twinked about 6 months ago and now I have to not use abilities but people are on ferals? Opening a ticket about that insta kick with blizzard hopefully we can get that fixed soon.
    Not trying to be a dick here I respect it, just don't understand it. Prolly will go WW if anything.
     
    BM is twice as strong as feral is IMO, they have roughly the same damage except BM has guard + better heals + spammable slow which cannot be dispelled + interrupt and guard, idk i might be wrong
     
    No, feral is banned. But there aren't enough people willing to organize on teamspeak on alliance side to kick moran when he's on his feral. And honestly, with the condition alliance side has been in for the last 2-3 queue nights, a feral is actually doing an OK job at offsetting the poor teamwork/lack of communication ally side is bringing.

    Guard is banned because with it, you literally have double or MORE than double of anything else's effective HP while STILL retaining the ability to kite/slow all of mid and do high AOE damage with great mobility.

    In the case of more BMs going "glass cannon" -- I use the quotes because the principal really doesn't apply here -- their guard can absorb upwards of 10k. It just allows people to mongo roll into the entire group with impunity, and it's not conducive to good gameplay in the eyes of the bracket.

    Sorry you got killed by a feral. But with you spamming guard on CD it's not like anything else would kill you unless you REALLY played like a retard.

    The thing is however, that if 39s become as big as 19s no team will be organized enough to kick anybody. Plus I'm sure that is a bug which I will be most defintiley reporting. Until then I'll be queing WW if I find I like it. I've yet to try it. As soon as you can't be instant kicked, and activity increases, guard will be openly used.

    If you need to DPS, use a DPS spec.

    Using a prot spec to dps whilst retaining high surviveability will turn you into a fgt, happens all the time.
     
    People that play against the rules will get penalized one way or another.

    The thing i hate most is when someone breaks a rule, someone on the other side breaks it to try and "balance it".

    One thing i need to say is, by in no way your allowed to break rules just because someone else is, it will just encourage more people to do the same thing.

    If these sorts of thing keep happening, those people will be flat out banned in TC period, that or gets kicked from games if not adhering to the rules once notified. No exceptions to anyone, this applies to all.

    Rules are rules, the PUG committee came to a agreement on these terms and if you don't like it. Then don't play, simple.

    These rules are for the greater good of the bracket community to keep games from being broken. It's not to upset people who like to play those classes, regardless how long they have been playing the class.

    We've always been cool and I'm not ruining that over this. But as I stated above. As more players join less people who know each other will be qued with their bum buddies, and the fixing of the afk boot will make that shit not happen. I respect the idea but Disc is op as fuck too but I bet you don't wanna hear that right? Iggy was guarding and he didn't get kicked like wtf

    If your about keeping games from being broken you need to not que disc in arenas.

    I'm hearing you, but you have to look at the other side of things. As you know 39's aren't as bursty as 29's and 19's and that's a good thing. Because as a team you have to more so start relying on doing coordinated cc to kill the other team. It won't be easy but who ever gets the kills first will be very valuable and more so show's who the better team is. Then instead of who can derp the hardest. I'm sure you can see it from my point of view.

    I understand everyone has different mindsets about it, but this is mine. I think 39's by far the most balanced and fun bracket.

    I agree but if you take only one thing from what I'm saying its that I don't want to ruin what we have. We're cool. Just different views. For the sake of the rules in gonna give wind walker a try.
     
    It's mostly about discouraging the slow increase of tank dps in bgs. You're right, in general there isn't really a deterrent for people outside of Living preventing those players from playing in the 39 TC. If they don't plan to do that, then, well...

    Thankfully in general the 39 community is a good bunch and don't mind making a bit of a personal sacrifice for quality games.

    As for moran on feral, that's just him trolling or being spiteful because of something he doesn't like. We do what we can.

    Yeah I'm all about the community is just frustrating that it's my class being I'm not one of those people who just rolled it to be OP, I already had it. I'm gonna try windwalker.

    It's not your class, it's your spec. You know full well how OP brew is, and I'm sure you rolled it for a reason. Don't pull the victim card because you're being targeted for playing FotM.

    Please read the full thread. I had no intention of rolling this class to be OP I've had it for a long time. I just started seeing you posting on here and you just joined in March. I really don't need your opinions especially since they seem to usually be negative. I've twinked way too long to care about the opinions of a nobody.

    It's not like brew monks haven't been OP all expac anyways but I'm sure you know that much if you've been twinking for so long. Fitting title btw "Lord of the Trash", good to see all the trash finally banded together and elected one of their own to lead them.
     
    I would strongly advise watching several Bruce Lee movies when you go WW. Enter the Dragon at the very least.
