EU Bracket Manager

Blackout

Greatest of all Time
I think that EU needs a 39 Bracket Manager, I think there are a few potential candidates but i think it should be up to the majority to make that decision.

I myself feel up for the challenge, i do know that there are others putting alot of effort in to make this 39 thing real right now and i think they need a mention.

The GM of Kindergarten Kids, Ayrrah: Ayrrah @ Stormscale - Community - World of Warcraft

and

Messias, the leader of the Alliance guild that i cannot remember the name of: Messîás @ Stormscale - Community - World of Warcraft

I see a huge future for the 39 community with the changes of the BG queueing system now that Mercenary Mode has been implemented, i think it is time that someone takes charge in organizing scheduled days to queue for BG's/Arena to begin with to get pops and eventually scheduling 10v10 premades.

I don't see why EU players, like myself, can't play on US instead. :)

39s on EU will never survive.

I'll give it 2... 3 weeks tops.

gl ;)
As much as I enjoy talking with you I couldn't disagree more with this mentality, I think that 39 will indeed survive. If people are willing to keep an open mind and the slightest patience, then 39 has the potential to come a long way, 39 has so many options in specs and gear setups and the meta game is actually quite entertaining not to mention the extra talent point which 19s and 29s doesn't have.

Eriwen is right, and at the end of it all it's gonna come down to how much fun people find themselves having when they play n the bracket, how much there is for them to do or look forward to, hence the thread of an EU bracket manager to schedule games for the EU community and keep things interesting.

First of, thanks Blackout for stepping up and starting to hand the words out, letting people to know what is going on!
Secondly i strongly agree that 39s will last longer then 2-3 weeks, the potential with 39 is one thing, but 39 isnt something that we know how things will end. How often, how long it will keep on popping etc etc is not up to the bracket itself, it is up to us players to keep it rolling. It is not just his or her thing to keep things going, we all have one foot ourselves to make it to what we want it to be!
Having 1 specific "bracket manager" is a good start when it comes to scheduling and things around that it would ve good if we have this 1 guy having that role, and maybe a few advisors around that for newthinking, future ideas etc etc.

Whoever it will be, its still not his own thing to keep it going, he will have a main role, but at the end it is as i mentioned, the rest. Everyone have to use thier foot for good. But the idea and use of a "bracket manager" is a need to make things work. Someone with the word of the people!

I am willing to be this one guy if things come down to that, if not that im down for beeing advisor and help out with things like this since for one guy alone it might be to much for him alone.

We all know Blackout as one of the best players when it comes to wow and twinking overall wich is why i think he would suit good for this work. He is a big name out there, who people listen to and respect from the top to the bot who allready have had many ideas, have a openminded and goodlooks for the future of 39s and he now steps into the bracket! Thats why i think having you as this guy would be very good for all of us!

(One more post to come)

Other people that would suit the mission as the "bracket manager" would be Shamatix, Saftevand/Eriwen or Messias
Sad thing is that Messias is not useing Twink Info, that would be a problem.
Shamatix and Saftevand both beeing two known players within the Twinking, both strongminded when they accept a challenge wich would be the best thing about both of them. They would work their way untill succes wich is something this bracket and its players need.

I think it is hard to say who would suit the role as "bracket manager" best but all these candidats of Blackout, Saftevand, Me, Messias and Shamatix would suit the role good in their own ways. For me all would do great!

I hope these two post will show my way of looking at things and that it will be understandable.
Whatever happends we together will work our way up! We all have to use that foot for the best!

As cool as it is to see the initiative here, this could potentially turn into a disaster if EU gets regular pops and starts competing with US for players. It'll be really bad if the playerbase starts getting split up. Not really a good thing in a small bracket like this one.

Just something to be wary of.

I think it's very important to try and have activity on both EU and US, I don't believe it's that it's that many EU players playing on US that US can't play. And it's alot easier to recruit if there is an active bracket on the times ppl are actually awake. More ppl on EU doesn't have to mean that ppl stop playing on US btw, most of the EU players prob play both anyway and will most surely join wargames and competition on US when it's happening. What I would like tho is more US ppl to EU when EU wanna host something, it's always the other way around.

Yes and as a i would like to run it up, I belive that US players wont come and the most EU players who play US will stay US because of a consistant and big activity!
I think this is nothing to worry about, we tale the whole think with time and things will go well!

don't see a point in having a bracket master for a bracket thats not even active on the eu scene.. yet. All it seems to me is people fighting over another useless TI title.

'look at me i have a cool color to my name'

while bracket masters could have their use for helping funding people and making events in the future, I think for now 'we' just need to settle on a day or two to start queing instead of pushing for activity that isn't really realistic for the time being. for instance are there no bracket masters for the 10-19 scene on eu ( that i know of ) , but a queue thread to schedule , discuss and whine about when there is and has been games going.

real id spam goes a long way.

altho I hear you concern about players possibly leaving the 39 US scene. I can't help to think that it is somewhat ironic considering the 'welcome' most EU players got when they rerolled for the twinkcup. not saying you were one of them, but this is just from a forum impression.

anyway , as already mentioned by Blackout I dont think it'll make too much of a diffrence as there's maybe only a handful? of EU players left on US realms, since people started work / studies again with the summer being almost over.

Like what happened to 19s? xax

This is not about a useless TI title, quite frankly i don't really care about any of that kinda stuff. It's just i feel that the bracket needs a person whos voice they recognize and listen to when it comes to organization. If some random person made a thread scheduling games, i'd guess that barely even 50% of the people playing 39's would take it seriously because hey, who is this random guy? It's about having a person that everyone knows is the dude who organizes things, stepping up and making it happen for this specific bracket.

Yes this is something important and needed to get the right words spread threwout the bracket!
I Fully agree with this

From my perspective I feel like Vibecka would make a great Bracket manager.
I'm looking to get involved in making 39s more active, granted it's a fairly slow process due to wrist injury so can't play more than a few hours a day at most.

Thank you, if people want me to be the Bracket Manager i will accept the mission :)

more or less all of the above can be achieved through bnet spam, but I agree to an extend that it will have be a familiar face within the twinking scenes on eu.

yourself would make a better and more suitable candidate than the guy who tries to revive a twink bracket every few months lol.

youre the biggest tryhard/hater ive ever seen rofl

comes from the guy who fc exploits to win games.
