ring farm

how long does ring farm take?

Idk if you mean the proc ring from MH rep or the dark iron ring from brd, so I'm gonna answer both.

The ring from scale of the sands rep can be farmed in less than a day by farming the respawning scourge trash that overruns the horde and alliance camps after you clear them.

If you meant the dark iron ring from brd, it varies pretty drastically depending on which random enchant you're going for. The ring has 0,5% dropchance from the relic coffers. If you're a rogue (which I'm assuming you are for this example) and you're using my route, you can open about 10 coffers every 6-7 minutes. For this example we'll say 7 minutes. Opening an average of 10 coffers each run means that it would take you 20 runs to get one ring on average, which would take 2 hours and 20 minutes. Now you have to take into account that about 8/10 times the dropped ring won't have a useful enchant to you. You're looking for either monkey, tiger or agility.
If you're determined on farming absolute BiS (x2 agility) you could be stuck farming brd for a very long time, however, even just farming any combination of monkey and tiger enchants is vastly superior to any other rings you can get.

There is a bit more info + a video of the optimal rogue route in my guide:

Hope I answered the question you were asking! :)
