Long Hiatus & the New BiS

Hi folks, super old-*** twink here. I stopped playing when they introduced XP-battlegrounds and the 20-29 queues basically vanished. I'm on a 7-day free trial right now, and I've noticed a huge resurgence, so I'm considering coming back.

I've seen a couple of BiS guides and armories for 29 Disc priests, and it all seems really easy to get now that heirlooms can be bought with gold for the most part. Heirlooms were another part of the reason I left, since the majority of my characters were sponsored by other guilds and lacked access to BoA gear, and thus dropped way below BiS basically overnight.

My major questions are:
- How important is the pirate BoA ring if I still have Deadman's Hand, and
- I noticed basically all cloth-users are going with Scarlet Sandals for boots. They have a little bit higher stats, but is it really worth giving up the built-in speed increase from the Defiler's Cloth boots? To my mind, speed increase is worth a lot, but I guess things have changed.

Also, no renew and no psychic scream... how do you live?

The speed increase from those boots don't stack with the speed increase you get from the new bis cloak enchant

No problem, also there is a lot of enchants such as boar's speed etc. that have a base star and a speed increase. Those enchants also will not stack the speed with your cloak. The only one that WILL stack is the original Minor Speed to Boots. And to touch on your question about DPR, don't worry about it get maywiki's band or the beastbinder ring from scarlet halls.

Also, I'm guessing those old quest items that used to let you get level 35+ enchants are no good anymore?

I have a couple of maces, like Skullbreaker and some other thing. Seems like enchantments work waaay differently now.

replace your inherited mark with inherited insignia, replace your advisors ring with beastbinder ring, loom cloak/pants, and scarlet sandals.

No, replace the AGM with inherited insignia unless you have a BOA AGM in that case use it and the insignia.
