I think it bears mention that Laurenti is correct in pointing out the flaw in the system. A double elimination tourney (which is a format I think is awesome) should require back to back series wins for the team from the loser bracket. By definition, the team from the winners bracket goes into the finals having not suffered an elimination. Then, when/if they are finally eliminated, they lose the tourney outright? That's wildly unfair.
SR lost a series and got a second chance. JCM lost a series and lost the tourney. Thats not how double elimination is supposed to work.

neap hitting some good points, favourable in his perspective opposed to what happened in actuality, after sort've looking/hearing about it a bit to understand, as far as the events people have been complaining about, happened....
keep in mind, things will continue to improve if more tournys happen.... but who knows, maybe next twink cup or tournament of any sort, maybe they could get a few people who do not have ''potentially''(not saying that was necessarily the case) personal biased connections to any team or guild participating[/B], to form some type of a twink cup comittee, as to make decisions in situations like the ones that occurred from a perspective more people would likely agree with.
I actually think allybeboba brought up the comittee thing first, iirc... not gonna just not give him props where its due, good idea is good idea
then again thats just me trying to put some constructive criticism, not going to get directly into any of what happened... good thread though neap

every team should have to lose the same number of games to get knocked out. this year the brackets were done the way they were and thats not changing. hopefully next year it is done properly and this and the other things that were brought up by many people dont end up getting ignored
