I don't get it...

I am actually confused.
A flag carrier uses a stump jump that is not accessible by hunter pets, warrior charges, and certain races. This jump was allowed under the rules, as it was a stump jump and therefore legal. Upon further review, it was deemed that it should be banned (because it gave an unfair advantage), and was banned from the rest of the tournament. This was a major factor in the game, because a team literally couldn't engage for multiple minutes.

A druid uses an in-game mechanic to make a play on an efc. It fails, and does not impact the game. The opposing team is given a 1-0 win, without capping a flag.

The second situation had no impact on the game whatsoever, while the first situation potentially had a very real impact on the flow of the game. The first one went unpunished, while the second one apparently warranted a match forfeit.

Am I missing something?

The first one was specifically listed as being allowed in the rules, the second is an exploit.

Glitching out of the map isn't allowed, clearly. But if there was a button to get outside of the map, would it be a glitch? I don't believe so.

There's a button to kill yourself (with a 10 sec cast time). Since there's a button, is it intended to be useable? I believe so.

The first one was allowed by being considered a "stump" jump, but unfortunately two of my team members were unable to access the jump due to race, while all "class" specific jumps were illegal. Kinda confusing imo but its all over now. Good luck to JCM! Take it home Revo.

Politely disagree with this being an exploit.

I respect that a choice had to be made and that this ended up being the final ruling, but from a spectator point of view I want to say I don't understand the ruling. It's a legitimate ingame mechanic and an unorthodox use of it. People may think it creative (me) or scummy. I would understand banning any further use, or even not counting the game but not really this.

Anyway I'm hoping it won't matter anyway and GSC wins the next and last game. :)

Nothing against PING, probably great people in the guild, but #UpWithGSC .

I wasn't super concerned with the first jump, and I am totally fine with the way it was handled, i just find it very ridiculous how something that didn't even affect the outcome of a 0-0 tie was met with a match forfeit, while something that was potentially game changing was not even replayed.

inb4 Ping wins game three 1-0, and wins the series while only capping 1 flag :D
