I've dusted off my WoW account, and I'm in need of some guidance

Hey guys! I used to play in the Emberstorm battlegroup back in the day, and I've been trying to wedge my way into the 39 bracket.

I have a 39 horde paladin, geared well enough to get involved, but still a work in progress.

I'm having a little difficulty catching up with the changes to twinking.

Is there a particular battlegroup I should be a part of / is there a particular realm I should join? I stopped playing shortly after experience was introduced to battlegrounds (not that I stopped for that reason,) and I know that battlegroups, at the time, were frantically debating over who should migrate where.

I've transfered to Bleeding Hollow from Uldaman since I was told it was one of the best realms for twinks, but I'd be willing to transfer or faction change.

I know I've bothered two people through battlenet thus far (even that whole chat thing is new to me too,) and I definitely apologize to them.

I know I sound out of place, but once I get the hang of the changes I'll be good to go!



Side note, I've been trying to get a hold of either Ooch or Neco. Are they still active?

Not sure if Ooch or Neco are still around. I hope they are . All realms are in the same pool at this point for bgs, and unless you want to be apart of a guild, I don't think there is much point transferring anywhere. If enough 39s are queued up, regardless of realm, we will get pops.

Nice 39! I recently got back from a break from 39's but it looks like your gear so far is pretty great in terms of current BIS. I heard that the new trinkets (BOA) are the best currently

A lot of things have changed but I will try and guide you thru as much as possible. There are a ton new enchants and gear(primarily heirlooms). This would be a good starter point gear Bigpumpmoran @ Bleeding Hollow - Community - World of Warcraft , note however that the ring enchant, neck enchants and cloak enchants are called gifts. I would say that for your instance as a ret Versatility would be the best bet instead of the crit used in the above armory.

You can buy the heirlooms for gold in undercity hordeside, you can do this on any toon. The heirlooms will be available to all your characters thru the heirloom tab ingame.

Ret paladins no longer benefit from agility so swap out that piece asap. Crusader is a huge enchant for your weapon and ideally you want to have multiple weapons and switch whenever you get a proc for a chance to get yet another one.
