Twink Cup PTR

Trialmop

F2P Community Leader
I was wondering if the 19 community could consider along with the people who are organizing the current twink cup could consider running this event on the PTR.

Perks:

Both EU and US could compete here

Enchants and gear could be easily duplicated and stored here because when you copy a character their inventory goes with them. Plus if you have a character with a lot of mats and enchants you can copy them more than one time.

Free fraction and race changes for everyone(Customizations)

You could choose to do this on the PTR during a time the patch is live or During a time a new Patch is going to be released giving a Blizzcon type feeling.

Most teams will be on the same realm making grouping and trades just that much easier.

If you guys could give some feedback that would be great. I think this could allow EU and US teams at the same time to compete with each other.

I also saw a idea that had a Blizzcon format where the top teams from EU and US would face each other, first in a region qualifiers type setting on live then they could meet on PTR to face each other. That would be great I think rather its on a new patch or current one.

I suggested this 2-3 months ago aswell, sounded like a clear no

Because that would be over run with F2Ps?

PTR is an inherently instable platform. In addition, it is not the current patch.
The TC is dealing with real money and not in game gold. I am sure the committee and it's chair would rather have a stable live platform to run the tournament from which to play. Especially since the TC is still in it's infancy.
There is certainly nothing stopping the "community" as a whole, all of twinkdom(not just 10-19), in getting some International games going on the PTR. I know we have done it before in the 20-24 bracket and in the 20-29 bracket. Maybe we could start a thread in the "general twinks" section.
Is the PTR even back up?

Yet the Battle for Atlantica? Sorry if misspelled, was played on the PTR for low MS for both EU and US players and gear for all.

Was the "battle for atlantica" for cash? The prize pool is more than some have made in their effective lifetime. I would presume.
I listed other reasons above...

yeah it was for cash and it got messy because people were dcing when they died and dcing from ptr because of a few other things. also a few months ago on ptr there was gear with no lvl req that gave some really crazy stats there were level 10s with 100% of all the secondary stats and **** like that running around dueling level 30+ players not dying

Thank you for making my point for me.
Please reread my very first sentence in the first post I made in this thread. As your comment also included people were DCing a lot as well.

The first RBG tournament was held on the PTR so that both US and EU players could compete. Playing on the PTR ended up being a disaster. For future RBG tournaments the EU players made toons on US to compete.

It was the right decision to have EU 19s make toons on US to compete in the Twink Cup.
