DPS or Healer -- Aliance or Horde -- Server

Greetings all, I'm rolling a character today and was hoping to gather some opinions from errbody in herr as to which route to take on my first true starter character. I haven't played since early 6.1 (or maybe 6.0) and was wondering which is needed more in BGs between DPS and heals, which I'm probably assuming would be heals? Also, am I more likely to have queues pop quicker as Alliance or Horde (or neither, not sure if it makes a difference) and, if so, is there a server that would suit me best to actually have games going on?

If US, Aerie peak. Horde almost always has faster queues. There are games with 0 heals and games with 6. I suggest resto shaman, druid, disc and monk. This way you can fill the role most needed based on comps from previous games.

PS resto sham > enh/ele the majority of the time, including dps role. But if you choose shaman definitely do not be deterred from enjoying all specs
