And as I stated before. Look at the irony of people actually paying for a server to play a game on that they refuse to pay for when it is live. Haha!
Private servers cost money.

What are you on about, the discussion here was about a cata private server for 20s. Not end game. 2011/2012 was the cata expansion. 5.3 is mop, how is this relevant to anything that's being said.

There are Cata severs out there as well as MoP. I linked the ones that were originally asked for. The rest are on this very forum, a few mere clicks away.
All you will be doing is trading one FotM for another. Be it BM/ferals for Hunts/holy Prot paladin/prot warriors etc... Or had you all forgotten?
The queue time will be just be longer...
You will have no "improvements"....
You will be starting over...
You are welcome to go any time.

Linked two private servers for ya bud, or did you even bother looking at them? One Cata, one MoP. This thread is not specifically about one era of WoW. It is about private servers.
Not quite sure where you got your end game information from. We all know when Cataclysm was.
Someone else was inquiring about a MoP server. Just helping them out. You should try it out... It might quell that inner rage a bit.

I am sure donations would come if there was enough interest, the only issue however is that most of the people who peruse the lvl 20 threads on this forum were not active during the time we're talking about. The person who makes this happen needs to be relatively popular on this forum as well as determined enough to contact oldies and keep the idea as a whole alive.
Even though I agree with your concern of gathering interest, I feel like it would be a mistake to rely on one person to lead it. Maybe i'm misinterpreting what you said, but If this was to occur, I recommend that it should be a community led task. I'm maybe naive in saying that, however I feel if enough interest was to happen, it would require support and work from all twinks to spread the word.
I only say this because I would hate to see one's work disintegrate into nothingness if they decide to take a hiatus, similar to Kochi's Korgath arena project.

ie if you went back to Cata you would have no skirmishes since that feature was not in any of the Cata content.
I am not trying to rain on your parade, I am just trying to get to you all to listen to a little reason.
Now, you all are more than welcome to take on the challenge of creating a private WoW server. But to put it in perspective, the main antagonist of this project can't even figure out how to produce a "pole" about it. Not that I have ever tried to even produce a poll on this site myself.
