Notes and Changes
I discussed grouping strategies with Lankypuss yesterday and we came up with a new strategy that should eliminate the last obstacle hindering fast starts. It took a long time to start the premades last Sunday because we lacked knowledge of how exactly realm-hopping works, and we started grouping people up without a clear strategy in mind.

The grouping strategy for this week's premade is the following:
Next Sunday at 18:50 I will look through our rosters, find two people on the same realm or on connected realms, but on different factions. I will then post a reply in this thread, announcing that realm, and the P2Ps that help us form the groups will then make DKs on that realm, and start inviting everybody from that character. Once everyone is invited, the P2P will give leadership of the raid to the player of the selected realm. Everyone will now be on the same, correct realm and we won't have the problem that delayed the wargames for so long last Sunday.
Don't worry, you don't have to understand that. Only the P2Ps that help us group up have to.

The Horde team has been really good with getting people on Skype, but the Alliance needs to improve on this front. You're not required to talk, but please join the call to listen!

I want to thank Lankypuss and Badpak for their help with getting everyone grouped up last Sunday!
These games wouldn't have been possible without their help.

General Information
The Wargames will start at 19:00 CET if everything goes as planned, but everyone should be logged onto their characters and ready to go at 18:55 CET.
At 19:05 CET we will start filling up the slots of those who aren't online with reserve-players and whoever else is interested in playing.
If you don't show up and haven't posted in this thread by 19:05 CET to let people know you're not coming, then you can't get a secured slot in the next event and will have to sign up as a reserve.

The leader of the Alliance-team and the leader of the Horde-team shall meet at the Runeweaver Square in Dalaran on the realm announced in this thread at 18:50.

We will be playing Arathi Basin instead of Warsong Gulch if there are twelve or more people signed up on both the Alliance and Horde team (not counting reserves). The FC-slot will be replaced with a DPS-slot, and the amount of healer-slots will be increased to four per team if we're playing Arathi Basin.

Everyone is expected to be using Skype, but you don't need to talk if you don't want to. Just listening to the ones who are talking is OK.
If there are more people interested in playing than there are slots, then the people who aren't joining the Skype-call for the Wargames will be marked as reserves and switched out for people who do join Skype.

If you aren't sure of whether or not you will be available, or for whatever other reason want to sign up as a reserve-player; you can.
Reserve-players will not suffer a penalty for not showing up without posting here, but are still recommended to do so if possible.

Rules
• Only weapons, armor, and enchants that are or have been obtainable by unlinked Starter-accounts are allowed (meaning no Guild-Heirlooms).
• No usable items such as toys, potions, elixirs, food that gives buffs, and so on. Bandages are the exception to this rule and can be used if they are of Mageweave or lower quality.
• Only Guardian Druids signed up as the FC and Restoration Druids can use Ferocious Bite.

Class and Specialization Restrictions
• No more than two players of the same class on the same team.
• No Feral Druids.
• No more than one Arms Warrior, one Balance Druid, and one Monk DPS per team.
• Any player who is specialized (talented) for healing must be listed as that role (meaning, for example, no Restoration Druid DPS', FCs, etc.).

A player might get dropped for a player of another class or specialization in order to foster diversity. I will for example try not to place two Discipline Priests on the same team (so sign up as Holy if there already is a Discipline Priest in your faction's roster!).

Exceptions can be made if we're low on players. Getting a full 10v10 wargame is the top priority.

The rules and restrictions are subject to change. Feel free to come with suggestions.

Since there are weekly wargames on EU-F2P community, i'd suggest to create a subforum dedicated to wargames only. This way we can keep track with ease on things...

Also, I think the wargame-posts are fairly well off where they are now since this is where they are the most visible.

Re: 31-5 | Alliance vs Horde Sunday Wargames | New grouping strategy for faster start

Before sign my characters I would like to say one thing here one and for all:

I just read some comments about the last wargames (24/5) and I have to say Im really really disappointed. I read about people deriding how horde played horrible and make fun of it. One of them came even on our f2p chan to pile it on how the games went (I wont write his name cuz its not relevant, but he will know whom Im referring).

Lemme clear one thing because I think people are playing with the wrong attidudes. It's NOT a war against Horde and Alliance, its NOT a war about who have the bigger one, buts it SHOULD BE a time that we, poor f2p, want to have to have fun in this time of messed bgs due p2p kids preamdes and long qq.
Noone is saying that Horde aren't playing really bad and the last wargames was really horrible despite Horde had advantage, Im the first one that is saying that and I even had a debate with my own mate that wanted try to find an excuse. No excuses, rather I think that Horde are filled of unexperienced players. And for unexperienced I mean players that doesnt have any experience about play in Wargames teams, which are totally differents than randoms. In this field Alliance is doing really good and it's ok.
I do think that Horde have their good players aswell (if you wonder whom Im referring, just look at the very first Wargames roster or the famous Aggramar Vs Twisting Nether match), but probably they are not interested or busy with irl issues. Anyway Im not complaining about this "lack of experience", despite Im knew to be kinda firm about teamwork's skills (Gotha and paranoi know something about it). But the most important thing is that those people are keeping to sign for wargames, which means there is a will to find a way to balance our games.
Consider too that last Alliance teams were pretty the same in terms of people and classes played, while Horde had always new people in group to deal with. About this I would to thanks players like PLEYA and Quickheals to joined the other side trying to balance it.
So, there is many people that are doing their best to try to make this a funny even for all of us. Keep complaining, find excuses and make fun of it its out of question, rather dont join. Im quite sure that if people keep to thinking to wargames for a way to show which faction or ridiculize who lost then people will quit to take part of it (me in first place).
On the other side, Im 100% sure that there is a way to balance this in order to have fun games, every time we play we learn something new about the mechanichs of wargames, so the long time to waiting will be gone.

So, about my chars, here is the list.

Kagot - DPS - ele shaman - Boulderfist Horde
Arwaín - DPS - surv hunter- Boulderfist Horde

Donzaucker - HEAL - disc priest - TwistingNether Alliance

Like the last sunday, put me on reserve cuz I dont know if I can make it in time.

Sorry for the long post.

Just pointing out/re-stating the obvious- level 1 characters CANNOT FORM RAIDS. You need lvl 10+ characters to make a raid. Since the roster normally includes people from Boulderfist/Balnazzar (H), Twisting Nether (A), Aggramar (H mostly) and Magtheridon (A mostly), then P2Ps should make lvl 10+ chars on these realms.

Boulderfist/Balnazzar and TN are connected, we can see each other in Dalaran, raid leaders should be then on those realms.

This is a sign up thread, please stop the derailing.

Also, Tryptozzar DK's are usually made to counter that issue :)

Mol @ Aggramar - Community - World of Warcraft Balance Druid, Aggramar Horde

Put me on reserve, since im not at home over the Weekend, but maybe we can drive home early and i can be online at 7 PM.

Anyways, as most pps know, my favourite specc is Balance Druid (since Fero Bite is banned) im not sure if i can adapt my gameplay not to use it, since its like an automatism for me, like driving a bycycle. So best bet would be Warlock i guess. Can also play Hunter also if needed.

In Terms of balancing, i see that Horde Team already has 2 Rogues which is in my opininion not a good way to go. (Since your Team is 2 DPS down like all the time). So maybe let Silents Play his hunter!

+ I have to totally agree with Leverage, its hard to Balance the Teams out even but its possible, maybe some People who only played Horde the last times could Play for the alliance and get grped up with more *xped* Players. But shittalking each other and laughing about People, braglogging and such is just a total bullshit, kindergarten move which prevents a lot of people to Play.

TLDR:

I may join, Keep up the good work and dont give up!

PSA:

If you see, for example, a lot of Hordes or Rogues signed up; don't be discouraged to sign up as Horde or Rogue. I can easily tweak the rosters to make room for more of whatever might be full, thanks to all the people who signed up with more than one faction/character.
Be encouraged to sign up with more than one character though if there already are a lot of players of your faction/class!

Thanks to all the people signing up with their Skype-usernames. It is however not necessary to post them here if you don't feel comfortable doing so, you can also give them out in-game while we are grouping up or waiting for the games to start. Just make sure that you have Skype installed and are ready to join the call on Sunday (talking is not necessary but listening is, remember).

Shamatix

Doesn't ArenaLive just offer a bunch of spectator functionality for wargames? Also, that quote LOL.

We are using ArenaLive to get our wargames going on US (19 Twinks) when we are on different servers to avoid using the /WG Random Battleground Leadernamehere command. Basicly you make 3 groups
PremadeGroup 1
PremadeGroup 2
SpectatorGroup (Max 3 ppl in this grp)

The leader of the Spectator grp must have the leader of PremadeGroup 1 and 2 on their battletag list and then they can start the wargame with no struggle. http://i.imgur.com/CT6wt67.png as an example

Shamatix

Would it work if everyone in PremadeGroup 1 and 2 were on Starter-Accounts? (we don't have battletag-lists) Or would it be enough if the leader of the SpectatorGroup was on a subscribed-account?
