  • Hi all, hardcore 20 and 29 twinker here, since vanilla. However, I have weird hours so now that 19s are looking like they gonna get popping again I'd like to roll one again. I've messed with dif chars on my way up, but would really appreciate it if someone could give me a breakdown of classes/specs in a tiered format. Thank you!

    Just how hardcore?

Welcome to 19s! Hmm not sure I'm much help on the class/spec breakdown. If you're in need of funding/gear on Bleeding Hollow - Horde I can help you out. Check out the GG Nineteen forum for more info if you are interested.

    Cheers!

Resto Druid - Best FC at moment below Avg Heals
Boomkin Druid - Great dps (can also use catform for new playstyle)
Feral Druid - Very insane burst with the right setup

Holy Paladin - Below Avg healer
Ret Paladin - Below avg. DPS yet a decently fun hybrid
    Prot Paladin - Please dont

Arms Warrior - Very good dps
Fury Warrior - Avg DPS with interesting burst.
Prot Warrior - Not used by anyone hardly

Hunter- Pew Pew (Survival and BM work)

Sub Rogue - Avg. dmg not as much dmg as combat
Ass. Rogue - Havent seen one since MoP
    Combat Rogue - Good DPS

Resto Shaman - Great to have on a team. Avg. heals with killer Shears/Dispell
    Enhance Shaman - Avg dps
Elemental Shaman - Below avg. DPS

Desto Warlock - avg dps. (great Burst)
    Demo Warlock - Meter padding
Aff. Warlock - Havent seen one since MoP

Brewmaster Monk - Great control of mid. Above avg. burst
Windwalker monk - Avg DPS with lots of Burst
    Mistweave Monk - Avg Heals

Shadow Priest - Just go Disc
Holy Priest - Just go Disc
Disc Priest - Best healer as long as there isnt too many on one team. Above avg dmg aswell if you decide to go that direction

Frost Mage - can do well with control of melee but low DMG
Arcane Mage - Can do well with dmg if you can live the melee in your game. CS and polly can be a game changer if used right
    Fire Mage - Plz dont

    Narley's list is very accurate
Yes, it's pretty good, but I'd maybe put resto sham up a tier (maybe just "above avg heals"). I feel like it's well above resto druid, from a healing standpoint, and somewhat on par, if not above mistweaver. I haven't played a healing druid or monk, so I'm not to sure about the numbers, but just speaking from experience in pugs.

However, I think 1 priest/2 resto sham might be the best three-healer setup for a 10-man. So, while your going to want one priest in every team, you really don't want more than one, so resto sham might just be the most in-demand healer.

    Thoughts?

Ya, the numbers don't lie. It's why you see so many rshams in wsg and skirms; easiest healing spec to play and does well when played with a brain cell. Disc sitting comfy in second place.

I guess one could say Rshams have taken the place of the Hpal in Cata. I use that reference because the last time I was relevant was Cata.

    Signing off.

Wow thanks so much for that! How overdone are huntards? Cuz I literally just leveled one to 80 so I could get that hunter-only scope haha. Although I do like the idea of a rsham.

There's always room for hunters. Honestly you should roll every class you are somewhat interested in that is if you have gold to do it
