I read somewhere that if you already have an AGM, you'll get the heirloom in your inventory . I'm assuming that means the existing AGM will be GF'ed.

This from the 6.2 patch notes does not sound like that's the case:

Two new PvP-centered heirlooms have been added to the arena chests in Gurubashi Arena in Stranglethorn Vale and the Deathmatch Pavilion on Darkmoon Island. Master Pit Fighters or Arena Grand Masters, hop into the arena and defend your title for a chance to loot these new prizes!

Yes, have I it already, several times over. I do not even use the ones I have. I prefer the BM trinket.
I do not require "swagger".
I don't care if it goes away unless it is replaced with something better. Which it may.
And that is why I made the comment. The heirloom may be better and Mr. Glover cited that he read somewhere we may be awarded it if we have it. ( the achievement I presume). Whether that comes to fruition, only time will tell.

12% buff to dots. they'd need a 100% buff to dots for their dps to match boomkin dots

i see it being a bit better, but 12% buff isnt groundbreaking for a spec that's so broken to begin with

From the patch notes, it sounds to me if you have the achievement and you're the one to loot the chest you get the heirloom.

Impossible as in a million lvl 100s getting the new loom trinket, or impossible as in it's actually getting GF'd?

As in lvl 100's will farm it to get heirlooms. I suppose if heirlooms have 100% drop rate it will only be bad the first weeks/months

I think he means, anyone who has AGM will trigger the unlocking of the new trinket in boa tab. All they simply have to do is code the item to have the same reactive properties as heirlooms do when logging in. Or even code the achievement for that matter.

No I mean from the patch notes, flavor text and the fact that the name of the new trinket that corresponds to AGM is DEFENDING Champion; it sounds as though you will need the trinket or achievement to be able to loot Defending Champion from the Gurubashi chest.

has anyone actually obtained the heirloom trinkets on ptr? how was it obtained? i know patch notes make it sound like you can loot it after getting the agm achievement, but we all know that these descriptions are sometimes misleading. would be good to get some confirmation on someone who actually has it

I doubt having the achievement would be necessary, since Blizzard always tries to be inclusive of all players. Could be wrong, who knows.
