Role of rogue/hunter

I have been going through characters on some old servers that I haven't touched in a long time, and have a couple that could be 29 twinks, a hunter and a rogue. They have some GF'd gear that suits a glass canon, and I was wondering if either hunter or rogue are suited to a glass canon setup, or is their damage sub par in this bracket and they are best used in other roles?

Both extremely viable, both good in offensive, defensive and mid control roles. Make sure to get a lvl 80 hunter so you can apply flintlockes though for your hunter, as this scope is a huge advantage.

Rogues and Hunters are very controlling classes with interupts, although the damage mightn't be as good as a lot of other classes the CC they provide are amazing. These aren't the classes you wanna engage an average twink 1v1 maybe a noob but not an average player to kill. Instead you want to assist stronger classes like ferals, monks, spriests with killing, they themselves don't have much CC but with your CC you can own it up like a bro.

Suggested gearing is a balanced setup with stam, crit and agi, alongside a defensive and controlling play style.

Rogues-engage when you know you have the highest chance on a kill, preferably healer or other targets.
Hunters- engage by first locating said healer, concussive shot on melee to peal and interupts/freeze traps on healers.

Happy hunting!!!
