<The Descendants> is a fairly new guild on Wyrmrest Accord - Alliance!

We are a purely classic guild, meaning:

1. No gear from Burning Crusade and beyond
2. No enchants from Burning Crusade and beyond
3. No Death Knights, no Monks
4. No Epic level PvP items in raid (i.e. Grand Marshall gear)
5. No BoA items in raid (you can use them out of raid and level up!)

With this in mind, when you join the guild we would like our players to experience Vanilla WoW as closely as possible! We want new players to join their first raids with blue and green items! This way, it presents much more of a challenge for our raiders. We do require our players to be on our realm, so no cross realm raiding unfortunately.* (This may change in the future, though)

I am a former <Screams of the Past> raider, and there are a few old members from Screams in this guild. We run much of the raids just like they did, and it's a lot of fun!

We have cleared AQ10, Molten Core and Blackwing Lair. We are progressing into AQ40 at the moment. And when I say progressing, I actually mean progressing. After the stat nerf brought by MoP these raids are presenting much more of a challenge than in the past, especially when a lot of our raiders are nearly in full blue items. On average we have between 15-20 players on for each raid, which is really awesome, but we need more players in order to be more successful!


As for our raid times: We raid Mondays and Thursdays at 7:00pm PST.

Classes we are currently looking for:

Druid: Medium
Hunter: Medium
Mage: High
Paladin: Medium
Priest: Medium
Rogue: High
Shaman: Medium
Warlock: Medium
Warrior: Medium-Low

We are pretty set on tanks, and we usually have enough heals every raid, but more are needed. As for dps it's a high priority, but feel free to roll whichever class / spec you want to!

*Although we require players to be on Wyrmrest Accord, with full BoA's, level 60 can be reached within just a few days. So please don't feel hindered by this, the leveling process is very quick now!

Ive been looking for any reason to play my 60 hunter (in the sig below)... 60s have been so lame pve/pvp wise ever since Cata. Thanks for the effort. I hope this makes a push and gets somewhere.

I wont xfer my 60 to your guild... yet... I mean I have you on btag already so if I see that this really picks up, I'll probably consider moving him to your realm :)

For the time being, once you accept cross realm raids, will I be able to raid with you if I change around some enchants/gear? Ive got a vanilla set banked. Regarding the majority of my epic gear, I obtained all of those items throughout the years I played this toon. This means that a lot of my pieces were obtained through 60 only raids, so I was wondering if that would be tolerable to use :) I understand if I need to replace my currently equipped gear since my toon is pretty much decked out (replace the t2.5, and t3 until you guys progress further). Ive got loads of lower tier sets on my hunter so that shouldnt be a problem.

Anyway, I like the idea of the challenge through the lowered ilvl in raids you guys are doing, would love to eventually be part of it.
 
Unfortunately, I had the same argument about gear when I wanted to join, haha. In my opinion it was much easier to just level a toon on Wrymrest and start raiding, that way you save yourself like 25 bucks or however much it is. I'm not the GM of the guild, but I was asked to make this post in hopes to gain some new recruits. We'd love to have more people. You are more than welcome to transfer your hunter, but you'd need to start raiding in dungeon gear (LBRS, BRD, etc.)
