It's a boss, meaning it's not a hard lvl 63.

copypasted from wowhead, prince thunderaan comments (different comments)
All raid bosses - aka ? mobs are considered 3 levels above the person attacking them, for the purposes of all calculations. Which would mean for a lvl 70 it would be effectively a lvl 73 mob. But for a lvl 60 it would effectively be a 63 mob.
the lvl is for the sake of calculating dodge/parry/to miss/to hit/defense/block etc etc - those sorts of things, ratings based stuff :)
Bosses are 3 levels higher then the highest level character in the zone, but only for measuring hit, crit, miss and evasion rates.

This means that hit/miss wise you will be going up vs a lvl 93 boss. This would also mean that if there would be no other 20+ chars in the zone, then you would essentially not miss, if I understood it correctly. However, since I have to pull him on a lvl 90 lock (who has the quest), lock gets put into combat and can't fly away to make it easier to hit.

So, in the end what will happen?

We will try to take him down using 20s. Expect a lot of miss. As I understood, he will be, hit/miss/dodge/parry-wise, a lvl 93 boss.
WHEN he dies (not IF. I have full confidence that we can amass enough interested players so 20s can down him), he will drop Dormant Wind Kissed Blade (lootable only by who has done the quest), which will be turned in for Thunderfury.

Hey!

1. It's absolutely definetely possible.
2. Hunters and Paladins will be the core DPS because of high hit % abilities they have being all hunter shots and Judgment.
3. Prot Warrior Tank, Resto Shaman, Discipline priest will be absolutely NEEDED, more healers might also be needed.
4. Consumables, Coordination, Faith!

I'm up of course :)

it is possible to create an EU account using the same bnet if i already have a US account? or would i have to create a new bnet account? all this discussion makes me want to join

depending on how hard the boss hits it might be needed to have several tanks for taunt kiting,

and maybe a tank to deal with the mobs surrounding the boss area cuz of 40meters aggro range

P2P 100 or 90 would be preferred to kill mobs around. Circlekite is a valid tactic and druids will be fitting better to fulfull the role, prot war would be necessary for Tank & Spank fight

Not sure if a protwarr is good for a Tank & Spank fight with such high misses, prot doesnt have many abilities to spam to get aggro (6sec on ss and tc) while gdruid can spam trash and 1 dot is enough to keep aggro for quite some time

25% flat damage reduction is absolutely necessary. Besides, Taunt and Thunder Clap (does prot have TC?) are high hit (taunt 100% hit)

ye, every taunt is 100% hit, not sure about TC tho

You need 3 tanks. all truckloaded with stam. one prot and 2 guardian druids. dont forget guardians get 25% dmg of while savage defence in 6.2
as for heals, would vote 3-4 resto druids for rej stacks, 5 disc and shamans.
few locks is a must for combat res.
not sure how u gonna play out cross fraction thing thro.
should go for 40 man or more split in 2 raids

Things to consider:

-hunters accompanied by frost mages and anyone wanting to play warlock could attempt to keep a slow on the boss, possibly rogues as well
-multiple tanks allows for circle taunting, meaning the boss is constantly running towards someone with aggro but never reaching them before it is taunted elsewhere
-will glancing blows be in effect, reducing overall melee damage? (is that still a thing?)
-at least 1 hpal spamming denounce to prevent crits (1 shot kills?)
-healers: at least one resto sham and disc to provide buff and bubbles, respectively. Many rdruids can throw rejuvs and regrowths while assisting in circle taunt when needed
-numbers. in a fight like this corpse running to keep the raid in combat is viable if the raid goes to hell. Make sure everyone knows to keep the boss from resetting while the continue to kite for dear life to buy time for the corpse runners. A good number of people is needed to do this... *flashes back to cata and that shark in vashj*

I'm not EU but I'd consider a more organized recruitment thread. With a list of people at the front page. Or at least edit this thread. When people see familiar names, it will encourage them to tag along.

Stamm good ideas but not working out in practice. Mages, Locks and any spell cast has close to 0 hit chance, we need "hybrid" abilities (combined magic with physical) like judgment, thunder clap, shammy shocks. Denounces won't hit, maybe one in 100.
Melee autos will hit for 1 dmg (or just extremely low) but abilities will keep their damage. Good idea with lock combat ress.
