F2P Hunter

get a new haircut and maybe some new pants mog and easily 10/10

10/10 nice huntard

wtf goohd. you already know you're bis, and have been for quite some time. you needa chill dawg! the only feedback I can give is get some guild boas and go vet, but vet just to get old gf'd stuff that f2p's could have one had at one point and time of the time f2p has been out, such as defias, and old greens from the new lvl 100 crate thing. just don't get chants bro. we don't associate with that type of boo boo mess. that's what I'ma do, so I don't look the part of a vet, but more so an old 10 day trial with gf'd gear :)
btw: defias boots and belt are bis if you ever get your hands on them, seeing how the boots already scale the same as lynx/prisoners, which is max agility in itself, and the belt is max agility. together with the +10 armor set bonus of 2, it's technically bis. just saying:D

True BiS Hunters have a variety of stats. Ive done so much experiments with gear and pure agility is not viable due to low health and lack of haste making it dull. I would like to see other hunter armories but no one is dedicated like I am and Lil went veteran. I HAVE TAKEN THE THRONE!

No offense mate, but maybe check out Cripzblood or Flipzmytoast or maybe my humble huntard Scalard :D armory.

i am here and i m not convinced you can sit on my throne yet :)
gahhh I need that pirate ring but right now Im not sure what combination is best. Anyway I lean towards crit>haste>stam>agi and to be exact I'm aiming at 33.34% crit just to be sure every third hit is crit and beyond that I stack on my next priorities as best as I can.
Pets- im playing around with wolf, hyena, bear, scorpid but mostly the first two, depending what else we have from other hunters in the bg as compliment
ps: dont take my first line too srsly ;) respect brother hunters:)

Your gear looks like you prio haste>crit>agi right now. Right?

Do you realy think stacking crit is the way to go? And why? Thanks in advance!

I constantly change it and I don't know how often the armory saves last equipped items. I have to admit that my choice isn't based on mathematical calculations which would be good if you're attacking a static target but bgs are the furthest thing from being that so to me gear/spec choice rather depends on how I feel about my flow with items/spec.
Another thing is that in the past my experiments with beast mastery were such that I thought it's not worth it because the pet might get killed, or it wastes energy to cast kill command but is too far away and doesn't inflict damage so I chose not to play that either.
So my choice is narrowed to MM and Survival. I started playing in the very beginning of MoP and survival was the shit... basically, it brought nice burst damage and I could kill most rivals, unless it's a heavy twinked 24 p2p, or a heavy healer (shaman) who'd stay in one place constantly self healing without losing mana - then help was needed. In most cases tho a moth was enough to interrupt a heal and land a kill in the next few secs.
As of the last changes moths no longer have spell interrupt ability and players have doubled their health pools and the burst that survival brings is no longer as efficient.
Then I switched to marksman and being able to cut 0.5s of the cast time with haste stacking + gaining focus faster is what I think is the greatest and latest way to play a hunter (I haven't checked BM though, not a fan). Now we see that with 6.2 Aimed shot will get +15% dmg as opposed to explosive shot will lose 15%, beyond that I don't think there's any room to debate about what's the most efficient way to play a hunter.
Another philosophy that compliments my hunter is to get my crit to about 33.3% which means every 1/3 hit will be a crit and then stack as much haste as I can. Sometimes I will try heavy haste, or heavy crit but for the most part I try to find a good balance between the two... but once 6.2 is live- definitely haste will be a priority.
Now, this will mean big sacrifices in stamina and you will go under 4khp may be 3500 but that's the only way to have the best damage output you can.
I think that's the right role a hunter should play. After all we're supposed to keep distance and not be the once to endure heavy dmg. We also have disengage.
I always think what would be different if I was with my stam-heavy gear (5k+ hp) but low dmg. Then I'd not be able to kill a ponny and only give more time for enemies to get to me in melee battle, something I don't wanna have. I might be able to survive but my intention is not just to survive but be able to actually kill and bring points. And surviving should be achieved via smarter play and keeping distance. That said I will not regret walking around with less hp. It won't matter anyway if the enemy is a p2p spriest, but in any case if I have a chance to kill an enemy it will only be possible if I carry haste/crit gear.
Im also saying that because I've heard ranting before in bgs from p2ps saying that everybody with less than 4khp is a straight out noob.

About agility: to me agility is not a big priority, simply, I'd always go for a faster cast time or faster focus gain or chance to crit instead of 10-20-30 more damage. Imagine you're at 500hp and the enemy you're fighting is also at 500hp. He gives you explosive shot and leaves you at 50-100hp but because you were faster you gave him an extra hit or actually critted him and he dies. Sure, he deals better damage but you go fasterr and you crit in critical moments... may be it's just me and it's a bit of a gamble but I think that's the better option.
