Questions regarding classes

  • Alright so a lot of questions incomming: I recently gave up on on endgame since I find it way too boring and decided to come back to 19 twinking since I saw activity slowly rising in EU.

I then hen have a few questions regarding the classes that i currently have at 19.

    Druid

    Balance
Seems really good atm? And seems like haste enchants + EF on wep is the way to go for massive dot damage?

    Resto
Not as viable? Haste as well? But which enchant on wep?

    Feral/guardian
Versatilty? Berserking for Feral and colossus on fist wep as Bear? Feral looks OP but what about Guardian?

    Rogue
Combat seems to be the spec to go, and is 2x SF with EF still considered best?

    Paladin

    Ret
How viable is it? And is strength > crit? And versa as WoD enchant?

    Holy
Doesn't really seem viable, but is haste best? Or is crit still best stat to go (used to be when i last played

    Prot
Is it viable for FC'ing? Or even for dps? And i suppose versa is the way to go?

    Shaman

    Resto
Looks really good, great mobility and heavy heals, but what enchants? Crit/haste/versa?

    Enhance
Looks pretty good, purges, shears, mobility. My assumption would be that haste would be good as most of their attacks are cooldown based, and more haste = lower CD's and GCD, am I correct? Also EF on 1h maces?

    Elemental
Doesn't seem to good since they are quiet stationary now, but if someone is playing it, what stats are considered best; crit, haste or pure int/versa?

    Warrior

Generally which spec is considered best for dps? Arms cause rend and hard-hitting blows? Or fury cause haste and bloodthirst? And what stats are considered best? Haste, crit, strength or versa?

    Prot
Are they viable for fc'ing? And i suppose versa is the way to go?

    General

    Healers
Which healers are generally viewed as best atm? Shamans and discs?
And is going oom something you have to worry about? And should there be a difference between premade and pug gear, like spirit in premade?

    Tanks
Same as above which is the most viable?

I know its a lot of questions and most of then are based on oppinions, but if you could answer the questions you can and give me your oppinions on what is best it would be greatly appreciated :)

ps: can you use the 35 BoA achive chopper in arena/bg?

ps: can you use the 35 BoA achive chopper in arena/bg?

    Welcome back Snack!

Some of these are playstyle and situational but this is my opinion of your questions.

Boomkin Druid: hastehastehastehaste ele force. I have a full haste set (no gf gear, 46.5% haste) for team fights and full int/crit + verse chants for O/efc killing, ele force still used for this verse build. General consensus is haste > all though. Definitely one of the top 3 dps classes in the gulch.
Resto Druid: Little bit of a skill cap required, hard to make viable but it all comes down to the player and how many healers there are on your team. I feel like the more healers there are, the more useless you will feel. Even if you are solo or even duo healing, I like to still run ele force entirely for moonfire pressure. I also use jade spirit when I'm low on mana and need to heal over dps. I prefer once again, a haste build for resto, however Resto FCing is a top tier choice again and you will want to be Verse chanted for that.
Feral Druid: Broken bullshit OP, the efc better have a trink on or an agm ready. Landslide > Berserking slightly.
Guardian Druid: I have not tried or seen any guardians lately, but seeing as the current druids that were guardian went resto, I feel there might be something that suggest it sucks :p Darkchewie or Pizza might be able to help out for this one.

Rogue: Combat and Sub are both great, hard to tell the difference between the two. I kinda like sub more for pugs but I feel like Combat will be more premade style based as you will have a lot less time alive or out of stealth to multi dot.

Ret Pally: Hits like a truck! But very very very kiteable and flimsy. If your opponent has a trinket, your chances of getting a kill is minimal. Crusader for wep and full Verse!
Holy Pally: This is very opinionated, other than the obvious fact that Holy Pallies are not what they used to be by any means in terms of strength, especially in comparison to the other healers. I prefer a haste build right now since the healing output isn't much and since everything has cast times, you can't really go without the haste atm, just my opinion though.
Prot Pally: Haven't seen one of these for a loooooooong time. Being protection, I would safely assume Verse.

Resto Shaman: Pretty much what you said, huge heals, great mobility, Enchants are relatively opinionated but I once again really prefer haste. It just feels the best. You already get a considerable amount of crit from gear and class alone, so having decent crit already combined with the high haste (around 40%) makes for some serious output. For a weapon enchant, I've seen tonnes of different choices but I would personally go with Hurricane.
Enhance Shaman: It's basically a really shitty monk. Decent on defense, preeeeetty shocking on offense and team fight. Haste would be the general consensus, mainly because the majority of your damage would be auto attacks and Elemental Force.
Elemental Shaman: This spec may as well no longer exist haha. Going for crit, you can rarely get a cast off. Going for haste, you don't do shit for damage. At least you still have a shear, purge and anti rogue/druid thunderpunt.

Fury Warrior: This spec is fun, double crusader, crit > str > verse. But there's not much point when arms is around.
Arms Warrior: There's a reason this spec got a 1 limit for the Twink Cup tournament. Rend is F**K'D. The amount of damage with a crusader proc up is very reminiscent of the old Enti's sword slip up. I've been hit for 960 by a rend tick, it's completely absurd, and you take shit all damage in defensive stance so jumping into the fray in a teamfight is the least of your worries with a healer behind you. Rend, tab, Rend, tab, Rend, tab, run back and watch the numbers fly. On top of the damage taken and unreasonable Rend damage, you also do a tonne of single target dps with Mortal Strike, you have an aoe slow and 2 charges. Pretty crazy. As aforementioned, Crusader is your best friend for weapon your other chants will want to prioritise Verse > crit > str.
Protection: Very meat shieldy, but minimal mobility and minimal power to defend yourself. I suppose with good play by you and your healer this can be made viable though! But seems pointless while Brewmasters are around. Versatility in my books is the most beneficial.

Healers: Without a doubt Disc is at the top for heals (and can still deal out a load of dps too), Shaman next up, then Mistweaver, then Resto Druid, apparently somewhere here I should include Holy Paladin, but idk if they deserve to be included at this time :(.
Tanks: Resto Druids and Brewmasters! Both pretty much the same reasons, mobility and good self heals. Brewmaster does STUPID amounts of damage and strikes fear into the hearts of every melee that dares try to 1v1 or even 1v2. and if things get a little too much, whatever man roll away. Get slowed? whatever man tiger's lust.

Chopper: Unfortunately you cannot use this chopper :( sadface.

    Hope this has helped!

edit: Forgot to mention Spirit being actually required once again for majority of healers, especially shamans and mistweavers. Rogue's are still 2x Fangs, contrary to what some may believe.

    Druid

    Balance

They are good yes, but i'm not too sure on builds, but believe haste is the best.

    Resto
Not as viable? Haste as well? But which enchant on wep?

Not at all what they used to be, but you definatley want to go haste, weapon enchant would be Mark of Warsong or Heartstong if you got mana problems.

    Feral/guardian
Versatilty? Berserking for Feral and colossus on fist wep as Bear? Feral looks OP but what about Guardian?

Versatility for sure on either. Feral could use either Berserk / EF, although i've heard good things about landslide. Not sure for bear enchant. Feral OP as fuck yeah, Guardians are very good FCs no question about it, tanking a lot of damage with a huge amount of mobility.

    Rogue
Combat seems to be the spec to go, and is 2x SF with EF still considered best?

    Yes and yes.

    Paladin

    Ret
How viable is it? And is strength > crit? And versa as WoD enchant?

Quite viable, however significantly more so in arenas. They do a lot of damage. Not sure about strength > crit. But i'm fairly sure versa is the way to go for gifts.

    Holy
Doesn't really seem viable, but is haste best? Or is crit still best stat to go (used to be when i last played

Similar to resto druids at the moment in viability. They dont heal much flat so you might want to go crit, or a mix of crit/haste imo.

    Prot
Is it viable for FC'ing? Or even for dps? And i suppose versa is the way to go?

Quite meh. I'd versa for sure though.

    Shaman

Haste for sure here, fast healing surges are amazing. Very good heals, mobility and

No idea on this at all, assuming EF.

    Elemental
Doesn't seem to good since they are quiet stationary now, but if someone is playing it, what stats are considered best; crit, haste or pure int/versa?

No idea here, just know they aren't great.

    Warrior

Generally which spec is considered best for dps? Arms cause rend and hard-hitting blows? Or fury cause haste and bloodthirst? And what stats are considered best? Haste, crit, strength or versa?

Both Fury and Arms are viable, quite strong, think fury has an edge over arms not completely sure though or on much else about them.

    Prot
Are they viable for fc'ing? And i suppose versa is the way to go?

Versa would be best yeah, can take a lot of damage but obvious slow and not much mobility so not great.

    Healers

And is going oom something you have to worry about? And should there be a difference between premade and pug gear, like spirit in premade?

Shamans and Discs for sure. Then MW. Then the rest.

With a lot of haste being present now mana can be a problem, meaning you're gonna want some more spirit, especially as a lot of it has been taken off looms. Spirit is probably more important in premades but would best being used in both.

    Tanks
Same as above which is the most viable?

    Guardian Druids for sure.

    Rogue

    Druid:

For balance I made a crit, vers, and haste set and I personally feel haste is the way to go. The fast casts and dots definately outweigh the crit and vers imo. I stack int and crit as a secondary stat. EDIT: Ele force is the way to go

I dont know much about feral/gaurdian since I usually dont play those 2 specs but feral is broken and vers enchants and landslides seem to be the way to go for this. As for gaurdian it isn't quite good atm your better FCing as resto.

I mostly play resto on my druid, the heals aren't the best but I enjoy the mobility. Again haste is the way to go to put out quick heals and quick roots. As for weapon enchant its playstyle but I prefer 11 spellpower since I dont really bother DPSing as resto besides dotting stealthers. As resto you will go oom a lot in mid from spamming heals so its good to have a few spirit peices.

    Rogue:

In this patch I feel that combat is the best spec to go as a rogue. You will get the biggest ambushes from combat with the increased 50% AP passive combat rogues get. Because of this passive effect, agility is a very good stat to stack. As for weapons 2x Shadowfang is still BiS and most rogues use 2x ele force still.

I can't really say much about your other questions since those are the 2 twinks I really play :)
