19 Resto shaman question

@Lúffy I'd change your belt to the Vigorous belt with haste.

@Snack The Therazine enchant is actually the best enchant on shoulders for max haste. It usually comes down to personal preference. With about 3 and obviously 4 Gift of Haste enchants you are able to obtain 1.1 casting speed on healing surge so it's not needed necessarily.

Lamboswagx has a pretty solid setup.

I'd only use that much spirit gear in arenas, in games where I am solo healing or games that aren't in my teams favor. I've actually never had an issue with mana this expansion while avoiding spirit as much as possible.

Don't quite understand why most Shamans are giving up crit, spellpower, etc, for Spirit.

If you ever do go oom, a simple switch to heartsong should suffice or simply popping a mana potion. No need to completely deprive yourself from other useful stats.

I use 11 healing power on my Shaman because my cast time is already at 1.1 and thus my heals are much stronger, ~1150ish. Using the Warsong enchant seems pretty pointless. I'm pretty sure if you have 1.1 cast time then this enchant will bring you below the global cooldown.

I would only use elemental force in arenas or in bgs with rare circumstances.

@Vehemity I feel like Dread Pirate ring isn't worth it as Resto, you lose 6 int from another Argas (assuming you have or can get it). And I believe thats like 30-50 extra on a healing surge. Inferno Robe is pushing it, I's value has diminished big time due to the boa chest upgrade this expansion. I still like it for glasscannon spellpower and rp looks though. It also looks like you have more haste than you need.

Anyways, these are all my personal opinions.

This is my Shaman below, I'm most likely logged out in a full Haste>Int=sp>crit> set. It's my favorite so far of the endless sets of gear I possess. I've actually never had problems against Warriors, BM's, Ferals, as my healing output is insane. (obviously wear an insig for games that require it). This set actually has helped me more than my stam/balance resto set against these fotm classes. I crit often and put out strong heals.

Like the set, but I couldn't ever find myself going full out like that. definitely diverse. Also my only criticism is the leg enchant and idk about sacrificing minor speed to boots in PuG's but other than that, definitely a unique setup. /thumbs up

Also, about the spirit thing. I find myself low on mana more often than not; because the way I play shaman involves a constant balance of utility and healing. I feel like a safe amount of spirit in intense mid fights is worth it in the long run, seeing as most random healers are incompetent and shaman heals are perfectly strong enough regardless of crit or spellpower stacking. Seeing as the way I play shaman is a more aggressive approach, purging can get costly at times. Yes you can switch out to heartsong, but in a premade you can almost play as more of a ele shaman, using ele force, since 6.1 resto shams can actually do dmg. I also condone more of a health pool, because in PuG's you can't really rely on your other healers.

If you swap to Conspirator's Slippers and the intellect bracer enchant you gain 2 int for 1 crit which would be preferable according to your stat priorities. Alternatively a second Argas and the intellect bracer enchant trades 4 crit for 4 int.

I agree, shamans have decent heals but the utility through purging, shocks and dispels are what makes them shine.

The whole goal of the set was to get at least 20% crit, 1.1 casting time on healing surges, and as much spellpower as I could. That is the enchant that I originally had on my Walking boots and have thought about changing it but I always have my conspirator's boots with minor speed on them if needed.

Of course, in intense mid fights the spirit is more than likely needed, but not necessarily overboard as most Shamans appear to be going for. In all the games I've played so far this expansion, I've only had to use a single mana potion, and the lowest I've dropped is probably 300 mana (Which is pushing it). The entire set works fine for me if my team is up to par, otherwise a safe amount of spirit like you said is worth it. I'm aware that as restoration you do more damage than as elemental but I don't think it worth replacing spellpower to weapon to aid your team in doing damage, it's not your priority and it's not efficient. You do enough by focusing on purges, shears, dispels, etc. As I stated earlier though, in rare occasions it's alright, I suppose.

Anyways, this is just an experimental set and criticism was expected and like I said, I have many other sets that will probably appease judgement.

As I said above, I wanted to have a soft cap at 20% crit and then place my stat priorities elsewhere. 4crit for 4 int is simply a horrible trade off as well.

Giving up 4 crit for 4 int is a great trade off in terms of throughput. But fair enough if your goal is to have at least 20% crit.

Just wanted to bring to light that Sapphire spellthread is BIS by one stam I believe. And also you could prolly get more crit with another leg enchant that provides int/crit as well. But on the topic of the assist damage with ele force, I find it completely worth it in a situation where your healers are doing perfectly fine keeping everything up and you don't need to purge as much, you find yourself with free globals and to not assist damage would be a complete waste.
