Faction: Alliance
Server: US-Sargeras
----------

Roll Initiative is now recruiting new members for our core level 70 raiding roster. We raid as a 10-man guild to provide a new level of challenge that gear alone cannot overcome.

Depending on applicant volume, we may choose to increase our roster size. However, for now we are set as a 10-man raiding roster.

----------

1: What is Roll Initiative?

The name itself is derived from a mechanic in the popular game of Dungeons and Dragons(D&D). The player with the roll initiative (winner of the roll) has the has the option to make the first move.

----------

2: About Roll Initiative

Roll Initiative is a newly established guild with a professional mindset to reach the endgame of 70 capped content.

The guild is led by Crooklyn, a protection warrior, who has been leading endgame content for over 7 years.

We are looking for new members with a goal to conquer this bracket of the Alliance twink community.

----------

3: Guidelines

There a few guidelines set to maintain the "feel" of raiding back during the Burning Crusade expansion. Below, you will find a list of the guidelines and a reason for its existence.

• Level 70 characters only
The nature of this guild is to raid Burning Crusade content at level 70. With that being said, no applications for characters over level 70 will be considered.

• No PvP gear
This is not a PvP guild. With the release of Warlords of Draenor, characters under level 100 do not have a rated arena or rated battleground option. Also, PvP gear is very easy to obtain, and having that gear equipped shows that you haven't put much time into building your character. Players in PvP gear will not be considered as an applicant.

• No Death Knights and Monks
There was a lot of thought put into this restriction. We understand that there a quite a few level 70 capped Death Knights and Monks, however, to maintain nostalgia, we have decided to exclude them from our ranks. We know that these classes are powerful and provide a lot of raid utility and this is still open for discussion. There is a possibility that we may remove this restriction in the future.

4: Raid Schedule

Tuesday // 7:00pm - 9:00pm Server
Thursday // 7:00pm - 9:00pm Server

----------

5: Available Positions

** NOTE: We are always looking for exceptional players to join our ranks. Even if your specialization is not "open", we consider all applications within guideline. So please, do not hesitate to apply! **

POSITIONS:
• TANK:
[Protection] Paladin // CLOSED
[Protection] Warrior // CLOSED

• HEALER:
[Discipline] Priest // CLOSED
[Restoration] Shaman // CLOSED

• DAMAGE [Melee]:
[Subtlety] Rogue // CLOSED
[Feral] Druid // OPEN

• DAMAGE [Ranged]:
[Marksmanship] Hunter // OPEN
[Fire/Arcane] Mage // OPEN
[Demonology] Warlock // CLOSED
[Elemental] Shaman // CLOSED

----------

6: Applicant Requirements

Aside from having extensive knowledge of your class mechanics and raid encounters. You should know your own role and also that of your fellow raiders. You should understand all aspects of an encounter from an academic standpoint and from a practical point of view.

Please note that high attendance will be critical due to our small roster. While we understand real life precedence and playing your main characters, you should still strive for 100% attendance.

We will also be checking to see how much time was invested in your character. We do this by checking if the character has gems, enchants, and professions. We understand that your items may not be best-in-slot, however full gems and enchants are required to help bridge that gap.

(While professions may not be an actual requirement, it will make your application look much better.)

Also, professions no longer provide a direct character enhancement (ex. bonus sockets). However, they can provide you with high quality BoP crafted gear from Sunwell Plateau that may be a potential best-in-slot item for your position.

** NOTE: The Sunwell BoP items only apply to tailoring, jewelcrafting, blacksmithing, engineering, and leatherworking. **

----------

7: Loot Distribution

Master Loot. Need before greed.

(ex. If the gear is itemized with spirit, a healer will have priority on that item over a DPS.)

----------

8: Contact

** NOTE: I am looking for two officers to help manage the guild and answer questions when I am not online. If you are interested in being an officer, please let me know your experience upon contacting me. Thank you. **

Not to rain on your parade, it's great that you're starting a guild for lvl70 PvE and I hope you'll enjoy it, but 10-manning lvl70 content is incredibly easy. Even if you're using a lot of caster DPS specs, which are very bad compared to melee DPS, you will still easily surpass any DPS requirements and you will most likely be able to just ignore the vast majority of mechanics.

If you're looking for a challenge, I suggest you try 5-manning the raids. At that point you will have to play well in order to deal with mechanics, but even with just 3 DPS, you can surpass the DPS requirements for fights fairly easily.

Instances such as Karazhan and Gruul's Lair can be 2-manned, some fights even solo'd. SSC can be 3 or 4-manned, TK requires a bit of tact to deal with the Mind Control mechanic in small groups. Magtheridon's Lair can be 3-manned if you have enough burst damage to take out the healers. BT and SWP can be 5-manned, the hardest fights being Gorefiend and Twins.

Anyway, best of luck with the project :)

Hey, I'm slightly interested in re-igniting my Hunter. He's been my pride and joy for the last several years. Obtained Thoridal in 2011. Did his first Sunwell run back in 2009. Always played in full BiS PvE spec. Nowadays i may no longer be BiS but i have all the gear. Even my Gemmed and Enchanted BiS SWP fist weapons from the old days. Highly likely I am one of the oldest, still active, 70 twinks around. Hell i think im the only 70 in WoW with the Ebon Blade Tabard. Still have the Helm enchant.

Not trying to have a big ego come across in this application. Have always held the in-game history of my hunter in high regard and still very proud of him. I've stayed local to my Oceanic/US realm of Frostmourne on Horde side since i created this toon.

EDIT: However on that note i am willing to transfer realms and factions. Looking for likeminded people to relive my hunter with and I like the sound of tackling 25man content in smaller groups. I have twink-cleared all the BC content prior to MoP and WoD. Eager to see how the changes play out in older content.

Add me in-game so we can talk more.

dont bother joining this guild, i was told to xfer here by a friend they say they pay for gems/chants and help with gearing but they dont at all. there are better choices or just save your money
i actually xferd here and regret it

We have plenty of funds to help gem, gear, and help out a player in any way. We've already given thousands of gold away to people who transfer and bought several new members some of the BiS BoE world boss weapons. I'm not sure who you are in-game.. but send me or Shizzle an in-game whisper to help you out.

I know transferring is a big commitment, especially for a twink character to a newly formed guild. But we honestly try to not make you feel you wasted your money.

Hey I added you to btag, I'm sorta new to twinking I have a relatively well geared dk but since you don't accept dks because of nostalgia and stuff (which i totally understand) I was wondering, should I level a character on your server? If so are you looking for any classes specifically?

Edit: I see you need a hunter, I have a 64 hunter on my old account so i'll just account and realm transfer
Edit 2: I changed my mind, gonna transfer it onto my server, but I'm still interested in raiding with you
