Trial Twink Management Database

Hello, fellow trial twinks! I manage a lot of characters on my trial accounts. 77 of them reside on Aerie Peak, across seven accounts. That's a lot to keep track of, right? Right.

I present to you my tool for keeping track of all my alts. It is a Microsoft Access database, so you will need Microsoft Access or similar software to use it.

Mostly made exclusively for my use, I cleaned it up and made it a little more user-friendly for you fellas. In addition to keeping records of all your twinks, it also helps you track:

  • Classes by Faction
  • Classes by Race
  • Horde to Alliance Ratio
  • Characters that shouldn't yet be summoned by RAF (in starting zones)
  • Race Count
  • The Shrine hearth and Timeless Isle flight path in Pandaria
  • Characters that have been drafted into the database, but not set up in the game
  • Character lookup by name

There is also a data entry form included to make it look a little prettier.

Suggestions are welcome, but may not necessarily be implemented. Once you download this, you are free to modify it as you wish. The database comes with three sample characters to help you set it up for yours. You can definitely redistribute it, but please credit me for the original. Also, if you redistribute your database, remember to clean out the records first, unless you don't care if anyone has all that information.

I've used Altoholic before and loved it, but I prefer to have an external database, since I can query the data any way I want to with Access. I may be wrong, but I don't think Altoholic can show you how many of each class are in each faction or tell you the zone (starting or other) that the character is in.

Besides, I need to know which account to launch before I get in the game, if I'm going on a specific character. :)

77 characters is mighty impressive, I can't imagine what it's like for you when Darkmoon Faire comes around! :)

Thank you for your interesting contribution to the community, Slone!

Well, I do have the heirlooms, pets, and mounts already from the Darkmoon Faire on my main account. When 6.1 comes around, I'll have access to the heirlooms again. Though, I will need to get the Darkmoon Hammer for one of my paladins and the Noble clothing set on some.

The reason I have 77 characters is that I want to have one of each class and spec on each faction maxed out at level 20. It's something I plan on taking my time with, but this tool definitely helps me organize it all.

I thought maybe that your signature was a comprehensive list of everyone currently on AP. I remember, once someone tried to get BiS in every spec, but he flew to close to the golden sun, and his girlfriend threw his laptop out a window, or something.

Anyway, you've got some really cool names. I really like the neutral pandaren's.

Wow 77 characters! All I need is 2 more RAF so I can catch up! Sweet and this might come in handy...
