Well, I was hoping i would one day be able to make a somewhat interesting if not significant contribution to the f2p community and I may have it now:
Best way to farm Sealed Crate at the Darkmoon Faire and especially the Darkmoon Firewater that is usable by trial account players is to play Firebird's Challenge. Aim yourself toward the docks. Turn right to fly along the beach (and through the rings along the way). The trick here is to be able to keep your eyes peeled on the beach over on your left while you are doing this.
I have now tested this method on many of my characters (Toons) taking each into the Darkmoone Faire multiple times.
I have found wreckage pools this way every single time ! Much higher spawn rate than usual !

I have even found wreckage twice regularly on a single Firebird’s Challenge game. i.e. stopping before I've completed the challenge to fish wreckage. It also seems to me that the wreckage pools, once found, consistently last longer so that i can fish each one at least twice and sometimes three times getting a crate each time. Crates occasionally seem to spawn along the way back to Ziggie Sparks more frequently than I am used to. I’m interested to know whether it seems that way to all of you as well.
It may be possible to fly to the end of the beach and all the way back by skipping some of the rings that are close together on the way out. So far, I have gotten 3/4 of the way back doing this, not forgetting to hit the ring over the big island at the end of the beach (where I have also found crates on the far side).
Benefits of fishing crates at the Darkmoon Faire: Darkmoon Firewater and lots of stuff you can’t use as a trial account – but you can sell it for gold. It’s a quick way to top out at 10 gold maximum allowable to trial account players so that you can buy Huge Brown Sack for example, on a new Toon.
It occurred to me that you can keep flying on this challenge even after you've gotten your ticket. I've tried this now on each of three Toons and have not found any crates while flying (but on the way back one toon found a whacking 6 crates). This made me wonder . . . and not for the first time that cheats and glitches have become such a fun and expected part of playing video games that it seems reasonable Blizzard may have added this little feature on purpose.
Finally, I hope everyone notices that I've written this thread with no jargon WOW acronyms. It is understandable to even the newest World of Warcraft player. . .
