Personally, whether or not this happens and I take advantage of it, I'm finding less and less incentive to log in to my 20's. So it's not even an either/or. I hate to admit it as much as those denying it, but the bracket as far as bg's are concerned is already dead.
Similiar to EVE online, which has an extremely good subscription model. Methods like these also help to combat RMT gold sellers etc, which WoW definitely needs.
Seems they think about using the wildstar model.
Yes they are referring to eve, a successful mmo unlike wildstar.
How is this model combatting gold sellers?
Don't take this the wrong way, but a TI "MVP" rejecting someones opinion based on their join date and trying to compare their history in this bracket and their history on this site is probably not in much of a position to be using such a title
Subscription time is already really easy to get, most of us play F2P because we enjoy breaking the limits
The limits of... stupidity?
Don't know If that's a troll bait or not. You might not have known that F2Ps have multiple restrictions and we try to get the most of the game that's limited.
Nope, it's an honest question. Of course F2Ps are restricted. That's why they are so weak compared to players who actually pay for their account. The stupidity I was referring to is the attitude of these players to ignore their short comings and bang their heads against the P2P wall anyway.
You know, the limits of stupidity?
Kincaide said:So in other words, yes it was troll bait. And an insult. Have you even read Shane's new no-tolerance policy?
How can playing F2Ps be anything but an exercise in stupidity? Have you not seen how much of a difference there is between starter and full accounts? If you feel insulted, well I guess you need to learn to let it go.
I agree with Crystal. For me one of the appeals of F2P is how it is like NASCAR: everyone is trying to make the most of a limited set of abilities and gear, so personal skill becomes more important. I can certainly afford to play P2P end-game, and I did for many years, but I like the low-time-investment model better. Not having to grind for new gear all the time to stay competitive is a godsend.
This message caused me to register for this site though I have visited many times. I share this perpective greatly. I have played wow off and on since vanilla. First time seeing someone else express the same perspective. Its nice to have company.
