Farming ROP!

Last I checked, ROP's drop chance has doubled. That or there was a rumor that it's drop rate was removed then reintroduced with different NPCs

Wowhead's stating this is the only mob that drops it.

Blindlight Bilefin - NPC - World of Warcraft (they average around 6-8 per bfd run. Look at the spawn locations to see how far you have to farm, cus its not far)

But the droprate doesn't seem to be accurate. Ive run it about 60+ times and no drop. While half of 1% is reassuring, I might just be unlucky.

I think it's like b4 patch, can drop from every mob in BFD, blizz just hasnt changed the loot table for it. And 60 runs isn't too much, I think dasha did 100+

Since the Blindlight Bile is a new mob, Wowhead's database is still gathering enough data to be able to accurately provide a drop %. Last week RoP the drop rate was 3% from them, you will have noticed that it went down by quite a bit!

I didn't count my runs, I skipped Aku'mai, and another boss. I felt the time t took to kill them wasn't worth the low yield of loots. I looted the following:

Doomspike
Tree Bark Jacket
Onyx Claymore
Redbeard Crest
Tree Bark Jacket
Razor's Edge
Staff of the Blessed Seer
Staff of the Friar
Evocator's Blade
Ring of Precision (first pack of mobs at the entrance)

I would suggest not relying on WoWhead. The fact that only one mob is listed as dropping it shows you how inaccurate their data can be. It's only as good as how many people run the addon and upload their data. It would take a lot of data for WoWhead to offer an accurate drop rate on any of these blues. The percentage doesn't even matter, you're better off not focusing on the abysmally low drop rate. Focus on pacing yourself, take some breaks here and there. No one mob is the "RoP piñata". Find the quickest, most efficient route. Farm and farm, hope for a rare then hope it's the one you want.

Decided i would farm RoP, and it dropt from the first pack of mobbs, on the first run. Either drop chance has increased or im lucky for the first time in this game.

Farmed RoP with the help of a 90 last patch. Took less than five runs, so if the drop rate has doubled, then—from my experience—it should take about 2-3 runs this patch.*

Took me way more than 100+ runs to get 1 RoP drop last patch, so if someone gets it in 1-5 runs they just have pure luck with the rng. But it's impossible to say "it takes blabla runs to get it", just pray to the rng gods and start the farming.

wowhead's loot % database is done by users,
you can contribute if you want: Wowhead Client - Wowhead

you need to install an addon that will store loots infos and you will be able to send this data to their server in order update their database.
