I thought I heard a few people talking about how it's available to F2P again, but wowhead says it's still 15G from the vendor.
Wowhead wrong again? or was I misinformed?

Yeah, but now it is 7 gold or something. It requires "Friendly Reputation" witch means easier... . You are not able to use it ... it requires level 40+.
Doesn't take you much time , and if you are a Free To Play with no Pay to Play account.... You can always create another account, use the DK glitch on him to create a DK.... after the DK quests are completed and you've reached Orgrimmar / Stormwind , do the quest to get friendly with Orgrimmar / Stormwind just for fun (Not that it matters really ). Ask someone at Goldshire/Stormwind/Orgrimmar/Durotar to invite you and your friend. Then go kill/farm some Furbolgs at Felwood.
Deadwood Avenger - NPC - World of Warcraft
Deadwood Den Watcher - NPC - World of Warcraft
Etc etc.
They all give you 20 Reputation with Timbermaw hold, so it should be easy.
--- Off topic, but i as a 20 feral druid , managed to kill 1 of them alone, doesnt matter if hes a shaman or warrior (The Furbolg).
