So yesterday being all excited to play my shaman in the new patch. I flew over to Stormwind and all the sudden it says I discovered Stormwind from Goldshire and not knowing this issue, but i had my xp on and had only half a level of xp and when i discovered it i got a half a level of xp and dinged to 71. I'm so fucking pissed. Will blizzard do anything about this?

Your best bet is to open a ticket. Now.
If you were active on Twinkinfo throughout the first few weeks of testing on PTR/beta you would have seen my post clearly stating that anyone with exp on will be 1 exp from leveling up. Its not like if this doesnt happen every single expansion, would expect people to catch on eventually lol
if your xp is on and a patch comes up you will have 1 exp until you level up, i forgot to lock my xp but luckily i was already in SW and i was able to turn it off.
I didnt had xp locked on my priest, and I didnt got any single xp when i logged in

U dont know, since rated arena is closed - Skirmish might be something else . . .
