  • With Horde winning the Azeroth choppers competition, is it worth it to p2p link an account now?
What do you suggest getting while having the linked account as well?

Seeing how the chopper might be worthy grandfathered material in the future, such as competitor's tabard was, It would be a benefit. But it has p2p written all over it, linked or not.

Odds are they're going to throw it in the fucking store like the alliance chopper is bound to be.

I'd say it's worth linking if you don't have any plans on selling your f2p account. The amount of goodies my f2ps are getting next expansion by being linked to my p2p account is insane.

Goodies such as? IMA prolly try to get heirloom pants and helm what else?

Here's an old pre-MoP thread with things you can pick up on a linked p2p account.

You can get all the MoP mounts. The most important one is probably Reins of the Azure Water Strider - Item - World of Warcraft from exalted with the Anglers (takes a bit under 2 weeks to grind on a 90).

WoD will add a lot of account wide stuff with the Toy Box. You'll be able to use a lot of the stuff here on F2Ps if you pick it up on your P2P account.

If everyone has one, it really is not all that "special".
Supposedly the Alliance version will be sold in game with gold, not cash, by an NPC named "Paulie"

You aren't going to win the pure f2p game at this point. There is hardly any point in staying f2p unless you are one of the very few f2p achievement hunters that have been playing since summer 2011. That's a game you have no chance of winning, since they have GF'ed achievements that you have no chance at. Link one account and see how you like it. You shouldn't have all your f2ps on one account anyway, that is just silly. The waterstrider alone is worth linking accounts, given the time saved travelling, fishing up hats, and winning rings.

Why would you not have all your F2Ps on one account?

To clarity, I ment WoW account, not Battle.net account, but there are many reasons. A few off the top of my head:
    1) The many uses of mutliboxing. you can more than one f2p at a time. Ever get a Tree Bark Jacket while farming RoP for rogue? Well, now your mage can be there too.
    2) Holding chests while you run out your other f2p to loot.
    3) Not limited to the number of chars per severer.
    4) Not limited to the number of chars per wow account.
    5) If you are doing highly bannable activities such as botting, using a fresh f2p, then attaching the wow account afterwards is much safer than possibly giving away your whole Battle.net and getting it banned.

Stuff like that. Not letting MMs and MTBs go to waste because you brought the wrong character to farm for would probably be the biggest one, or at least my Glass Cannon Int-Warrior thinks so. I'm sure there is some advantage to having them all on one account, but I can't think of it (other than the easier login).
