WoD Spriest?

Has anyone tested Spriest in WoD beta or ptr? Damage output good? Defense viable with no fears? Thanks.

Yes. @ 29 you have roughly 5-6k HP, and your MB/DP crits hover between 1500-2100. The glyph of Mind Harvest is interesting when you start a fight with 3 orbs already, you can DP > MB > DP in about 3 seconds, but then you're flaccid until you can build 3 orbs again, which is slower because MB has a longer CD with that glyph.

All in all, I still value other glyphs more than the Mind Harvest one, but then again, you're 20-24, so you won't have glyphs anyway.

Spriest are still OP but IMO have always been slow, so in new bigger maps such as AV it depends if a players playstyle can make the new adjustments.

my 20 ele sham can outheal GFed 29 spriest outside of BGs

That is because as of right now, an elemental shaman has a 100% buff when they heal themselves only. The only grandfathered item of any real consequence is Deadman's Hand - Item - World of Warcraft, and it only has a 5% proc rate. The real factor is scaling.
Until that gets all sorted out, we won't know if a 20, 24, 25 etc. priest is better, glyphs or gear aside. I do not think there is any reaso so go to 29, just level 28. A shadow priest obtains Vampiric Touch at 28 and gains access to some addition gear. You may not get any scaling out of one level though.
