[QUESTION] Faction Specific Quest Items

I'm sure this has been asked countless times on this forum but...

Say I want an alliance quest item but I'm playing on Horde. If I faction change, get the item, and then refund the faction change, will I still have the item from the faction specific quest?

yes but you'll have to ask the gm not to roll back ur toon cuz thatll get all progress reset as well

ask them to give you a full faction change back its apparently a specific service that they can only do once every 6 months and only if the change u want "reverted" was made in the previous 3 days

its also a free race/appearance change

Yes however sometimes they just roll you back in time.

When I did it on US (which was my most recent one) the original reply said they have to wait 3 days so I keep my stuff. However when I waited whoever did it rolled me back anyway, then I made a ticket about that the person who replied gave me my items and reminded me to re-xp lock because they didnt want to see me loose the twink (I didnt mention it was a twink)

Basically it depends on the GM

Don't try to 'trick the system.' The vast majority of cases where someone successfully did something they aren't supposed to be able to do, are either lying or had special circumstances pertaining to why they were able to do what they did.

If you want a specific item from both factions, you should start on the faction you don't intend to play and then just faction change to the correct faction once you're ready. Asking for a refund is an incredibly stupid way to go about it because there's no telling how your character/account will end up. You wanted the item from both factions, suck it up and pay for a faction change.

So let me get this straight - in another thread on this forum people are petitioning players to spam the Twitter accounts of game developers to complain about 19s not getting skirmishes despite being paying, loyal customers, and in this one people are talking about ways to cheat Blizzard out of money and scam the system to get items they're not entitled to for free?

dat cognitive dissonance ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

yeah its almost like there are different people on a forum with different opinions

dont listen to this guy, you wont have to pay if you dont want to, done this like 5 times worked every time, if they say that everything you have done in the past days or w/e will be lost tell them you want the ticket escalated to an appropriate department and then make a proper request that you want a faction change back, just give them the "i liked night elves but read some lore and they are monsters and all my friends are on h" bullshit

Just be nice and professional when petitioning GM's and you will be fine. It does not hurt to be persistent as well.

Everytime my friends did that, they just claim they bought something on AH that they want to keep, but they don't really enjoy the new faction. And then it worked fine :)
