So are Priest's just THAT good?

Hey everyone! Just finished leveling a paladin for the 70 bracket after taking a long break from it due to being recently involved with the 24 bracket. Now when I left the 70's a few years back, priests dominated the bracket for the most part. Just recently, I dueled a few priests and have not had luck in beating them.. granted i'm not the best prot pally in this bracket, but I know the basics. (Like crit stacking and HW.) So I was wondering.. am I just THAT bad at a prot pally or are priests just THAT strong?
 
the 2.5k priests wont let u win, but anything 2.2 or lower should be possible for you to kill,

first build, then wait for weakened soul debuff to reach 2s approx. then stun then wait til shield is fully gone, and burst just burst last sec of stun rlly. if priest ps, reset, build do same next stun.

Good priests will sprectral, preshell etc.

Mage can win 1v1 with Priest.

But yeah, in general, Priest > you in terms of 1v1.

Mages can beat a priest 1v1 yes but there is little to no room for error and is often very situational. If I glyph Counterspell/DF the fight is much easier however when I'm glyphed normally this isn't the case. As soon as we Ice block it's pretty much game over. A smart priest will just Spectral after a Poly (dispel) > DF so they can reapply shield/hots
 
Yes priest op cus of the cloth gear just give soo much armor it's insane. Also priests are use the light to do strong spells that blind you irl n shii... So play with goggles to beat em :D
 
Thanks for the replies! I played this bracket pretty intensely back when resil stacking was the thing as healers, so i'm not used to seeing exclusively priests and what not.. I've been told Paladins are OP, but I haven't got the hang of the whole, "Wind up, wait, try to one shot, wind up, wait, try to one shot." Since I started playing a shaman and then went into a prot warrior which is a pretty consistent flow of dps. Doing that against any other class is pretty easy, but with a priests it's pretty challenging, especially when that priest is good, and if you learn to count HP's, paladin's are pretty easily countered.

Palas are just extremely self efficient. They can easily out heal most DPS and combined with the Avenger Shield > Harsh Word combo they can be pretty deadly. You should continue playing your shaman, elemental (if not already) and you can easily global anyone lol
