  • Hey guys I am gonna start playing in this bracket and im gonna lvl a mistweaver monk and I was just wondering what is bis ? anyone got a chardev or a character I can copy?

Way too little haste imo, I'll experiment with my new monk and then link it. Haste is by far the most important stat for mw atm. In wod it will be important too but since chi won't be gained by soothing mist u will need to change the playstyle. Mw will need to go more melee to be viable and u will be able to remove alot of spirit for more stam and int. Mw will have 100% of sp being ap so want as much sp as possible. I'm gonna try it out on beta later but stats will most likely be: sp (int) > haste > stam > crit > spirit.

Thanks dude thats good for the base gear.

yes it would be really good if you could mix around with your monk and then tell me the results :p

As someone who played MW all through MOP, haste is not a preferred stat @ 29. You need a ton of spirit so you can expertise cap and keep Disable up on melee who ride you. Soothing Mists and Enveloping Mists are the only healing spells you get at that level, so you have to spam Soothing Mists to build chi faster anyway. The haste doesn't do anything to help you when you're recasting Soothing Mists on GCD and spamming instant Enveloping Mists anyway. @ 19 you would want to stack haste because there's plenty of it and it scales much better for you. @ 29, it's just not that great.

Your GCDs are already at 1 second and you can't stack enough haste to hit the GCD cap anyway. Any good melee is going to out DPS your Soothing Mists and you're going to realize how difficult it is to rely solely on Enveloping Mists as a dispellable hot. This is why most of the healers we've played with have preferred a different class @ 29.

Unless they give MW monks Surging Mists a lot earlier in WoD, they are going to be gimped even further, since Soothing Mists will no longer generate Chi.
