Enhance shaman

    • Which build do you think is most viable(most damage)?
    Crit? Haste?
    I've herd good things about haste stacking with ele force and herb. But then again, all I see is crit enhance shamans.
    Also, which is best? Level 22 or 24? Not sure how much the scaling is or if the level 24 gear is that much better.
    Could anyone please link me the gear that is obtainable at level 23-24(for enhance) so i can get an idea.
    Please let me know your thoughts and link your armory or a friends so I can see what gear everyone is using. Thanks :eek:

    Hey Hurcules, imo haste build with elemental force is the best dmg, especially with your flame shock spread on multiple targets. you can also go with ele force and hurricane. havent tested that for myself yet but might be very strong aswell. I dont think crit is a very effective build for enhance shamans and 2x dancing steel is okay but not as good as haste with ele force if you wanna do some nice dmg. ^^ i don't know if enhance is better with scaling at 22, i have only played 24.
    here's my enha shammy: Zurogano @ Stormscale - Community - World of Warcraft its not full haste build but it works good for me :D

    Alright here we go. As a enhancement shaman you are going to want a decent amount of stamina.
    You have two options for talents.
    First you have natures guardian. (use this if you are going for a more defensive and balanced build. You should also have mark of tyranny for a trinket if you use this). scales with stam

    Next you have Bulwark totem. (use this if you are going for a more OFFENSIVE build.) scales with ap

    so choose your talent accordingly

    Next we have gearing.

    As far as gear goes you will have the following offensive stat prioritys.
    Hit cap>Crit=25%>haste>agility

    some people might say to gear full haste but the problem with that is you flurry wont be up enough and flurry multiplies the effects of your haste.

    Heres the math on why i say around 25%

    at 20% your chance of keeping up your flurry after it starts is 1-(4/5)^5 =67%
    at 25% your chance of keeping up your flurry after it starts is 1-(3/4)^5 =76%
    as you increase your crit chance you loose out of haste and your over all dps goes down.

    after you have you 25% crit chance via gear and maybey a enchant or two you are going to want to start stacking haste. This is because haste increases the effectiveness of your elemental force enchants you will have on your weapons. (always use mass of mcgowan daggers are worthless and dont increase proc chance of elemental force).

    Bis race for enhance dps is troll for sure. You will want to get your flurry up . pop lifeblood then berzerking.

    But I don't really see how 20-25% is a big difference. Are you saying when having 20% crit its a 67% chance it will proc? and 76% chance when at 25% crit? I don't see how that is a big difference. Could you elaborate more please. Also, do you think the scaling for 22 is better then 24 and the gear you can get at 24?
    Bulwark totem "scales with ap"? How so?

    I wouldn't worry about lvl 22 as nothing really comes to mind as beneficial.

    when i was talking about the 67 % chance and 76 % chance i meant for you to continue your flurry.
    let me elaborate.

    when you proc flurry you gain the benefit for 15 sec or until 5 strikes land.
    if one of those 5 strikes critically strikes the buff is refreshed.

    so if we look at five strikes at a 20% chance to crit we end up with a total 67% chance that at least one will be a crit.
    if we have five strikes at 25% chance you end up with a total chance of 76% that at least one of those 5 will be a crit .

    that clear anything up ?

    According to that statement. I still feel like 20% is still good enough. And that extra haste would help out a whole lot. I feel like flurry will stay up just with 20% or maybe less. Anyone have a enh shaman that could test this on a healer or something? Would really like to know. Also, what did you mean Bulwark totem scales with ap?

    thing is you should probably be able to get around 25% with just base stats and not really need enchants for the crit. take the info for what you want its really preference.

    Yup you should get 25% crit easy with the bis shoulder and leg enchant. I can probably test if bulwark totem really scales with attackpower and if flurry stays up enough with 20 and 25% crit.
     
    So i have tested the flurry uptime with 20% and 25% crit and i must say i agree with snowjobs, 25% is pretty much a must for it to stay up as much as possible, it will still fall off once in a while but by far not as much as with 20% crit. Bulwark totems scales with Attackpower, at level 24 with 400 ap it absorbs for 910 dmg, and after that for 227 every 5 seconds. for every 10 ap extra to totem will absorb 23 more dmg. this talent is the strongest when you have full ap build and 2x DS procs up then pop the bulwark totem. for enhance 3% is idd hitcapped. I would go 24, water walking is just too good :D GLHF with your enhance sham ^^

    while battle fatigue still does take a pooper on this one i still think it is more valuable in certian situations. A great idea that [MENTION=22474]Zuro[/MENTION] had was to start out with double dancing steel and as soon as they both proc ( probably take 2-3 sec) drop your totem assuming you have 2 k health natures guardian would heal you for basicaly 600 . on the other hand bulwark totem would absorb around 1.4k initialy and 300 every 5 sec roughly if you drop it durring a double ds proc.

    as soon as you drop it you should switch to ele force though as you will need it for dps.
     
    Trust me, nature's guardian + BM trink is the only way to go when you are stressed. My lvl 20 shaman hit over 7k health the other day with those popped and a battle standard.

    Is that with battle fatigue?
