Faction Changing with Dartol's Rod

Is there anyone here who has had Dartol's Rod and factioned? I really don't want to lose it, but I want to faction change for BiS quest gear and such. Any information would be cool. Thanks.

pretty sure you lose it.

Do not do it, you lose it upon faction changing. That vanity item is your BiS

I know it's longer not sure how much though.
