they dont do that. its part of GM 101 thats instilled into all GMs

I understand, but I have seen them do things that are against the GM code. That's why I said it was a long shot, but not an impossible one.

The new changes, in weeks or months, depending on whether or not Blizz take their finger out of their ass or not, will change a lot of things, but if you don't have hero boots and dividend legs, you will be severely gimping yourself. All that hit will turn to crit, and many items will be crunched, so will scale differently, in and out of BGs.

There's also the possibility that int/str items will change based on your spec. Either way though, it doesn't take long to get to 20. If you took the wrong quest items, just make a new one. Keep one for ret/prot and one for holy.

You are correct on this notion. Going on the presumption that trial accounts will have access to the heirloom tab. We may as well have have specific toons set up with specific specs. Want to swap to damage for a bit, no reason to swap specialization and gear, just hop toons. It would be different if we had access to dual specs at this low of a level, but we do not.
This could make choosing quest items much easier. Even more fun, for that matter. You could plan all sorts of hybrid quest gear sets instead of going by someone's guide. Doing it yourself is part of the reward.

Sidney makes a good point, Hit rating will be irrelevant in a few months.

It's worth checking wod.wowhead.com to see what the quest gear you're missing will be converted in to.

I know this won't help you this very instant but, in a few short weeks hit cap will be a a thing of the past. You should always look to the future. Failing to plan is planning to fail.
I would not reroll just to get a few quest items for hit quite just yet until you know what those hit numbers were going to be converted to in WoD.

Just like Aradiel said, hit will be changed to crit or haste. So you still miss out on BiS stuff like Boots of the Hero if you didn´t pick those.
