Considering a 19 again.

Considering rolling a resto shaman. Probably one on Alliance and one on Horde side. Looking at future racial changes, lets hear some opinions.
I will probably stick with Goblin for Horde because of rocket jump for quick escapes(catch up) and haste, who knows how the new mechanics are going to work.
Alliance is sort of up in the air, all three are pretty fair. Don't forget that PAndaren get 2x bonus to food and in 6.0 stam will x2. That possibly means that food could possibly give Pandarens 4x bonus as now, who knows.

I think more people would play 19s if the playstyle wasn't so garbage. People look @ WSG RBG mid fights as a joke, copying it at this level just puts game quality on an even lower tier. There's nothing really exciting about the horde and alliance fluctuating between both GYs for 20min. It appeals to a very low amount of players. I think if 19s followed a more traditional WSG playstyle, similar to how it is in the 20-24 bracket, activity will pick up. Nevertheless I feel the likely implementation of skirmishes next expansion will revive the bracket on its own. I personally will be making a 19 when that time comes. Maybe people will hate me for saying this, but I've seen some of the best and the worst personalities from this bracket. I think if said people stopped acting as a deterrent to aspiring 19 twinks, then activity will increase.

Alas, after three pages of nonsense, my question remains unanswered about the races. Please do not post unless you have something constructive to add. I am sure your Mothers' taught you some manners.

I disagree, if we played the original playstyle alot more people wouldn't play including myself. A few people look it as a joke but not the majority. I enjoy mid fights. I find it especially challenging to heal with the insane amount of burst. I'm always engaged in the game constantly throwing out heals, I love it. I find the whole kiting and cc thing a bit boring. People have their preferences and to each their own.

I definitely would stick with goblin, super useful against rogues. As for ally, dwarf looks like the best option. Might of the Mountain and Stoneform look amazing.

Anyway good luck with the sham. I'm thinking of rolling a resto as well for the challenge. Might perchance be shaman buddies come Summer :).

Thanks for the input. I will probably roll my Horde on BH as that is where my 20 is and I have some funds there but no guild. I prefer to keep my 20's unguilded. Not sure about Alliance. I am capped on Cenarius.
Pretty much all I ever do in the "other" bracket" on my shaman is heal mid. That is why I roll with a heavily stamina stacked gear set. I very very rarely FC. I don't care for FCing. I made the toon to withstand midfights. That is where I like to play. I will heal FC if needed, but there are classes better suited for healing an FC than a shaman.

If you are looking for a home, Heroes of The Gulch on shu'halo ally side are recruiting! I'll fund the boe's you need, as well as enchants. As long as you have boa's and the chants on them, it's great. Though, we are very small atm unfortunately, but I'm working on it.

You'll find that 19s are very different though. In most cases you will have your fc sitting behind you. The only way the enemy team can get to you is if they push and/or kill through your ranks. Of course there are still rogues and boomies who can open up on your fc, so you have to pay close attention and spam those heals when they do. What I like to do is have my healing set whether that be my spirit/haste or spirit/Sp set when there are no rogues, because I mean the enemy team isn't going to get you unless your dps are dying constantly(keeping in mind you should be quite a fair distance behind your dps). Then when I see rogues on the opposing team I switch to a more stam heavy set(I would say between 1.9k-2.1k is good, you don't want to completely stack stam) 24 stam to magefist is what you def need for that set.

It will be interesting to see how good resto sham is at it's full potential. All this talk is getting me excited to play a resto sham myself .
