Information about mages.

I've decided I wanted to make a 19 Mage but I need to know if it would be worth it. I also need information about them. What spec? How's there damage? Things like that. I was in a wsg tonight and saw a Mage getting destroyed by the other classes. So can mages compete? Or is it a waste of time? FYI I have a 90 Mage so I know the mechanics.

it can compete but its kind of a waste of time if youre looking to preform best out of everyone... hunters eles boomkins are better choices for ranged, rogue better for burst...

the main thing mage has to make it good is counterspell, but minus that not much else lol so its up to you, it is fun but it depends very much on how good your healers are as well

Arcane Mages are the best burst class along side locks. Whilst hunter,boomkins and eles all have steady burst, mages will pack the most punch in terms of numbers. If you use your 4 stacks and barrage correctly you will instantly kill anything. But like many classes mages need healers to perform to its full potential.

I don't think he can say same thing about you for priest / hunter / shaman class.
