Molten-WoW is the place to be for 29s. There aren't any other options, and the bracket benefits from the presence and popularity of players in other brackets.
<Voodoo Child> on horde side of the Lordaeron realm is recruiting skilled and classy players.
Our goal is to hold weekly competitive and enjoyable premade matches. Everything else supports that goal:
- We want to grow the bracket population, and so we are still giving out free enchants to twinks on both horde and alliance side.
- We want foster a community that is resilient and communicative, so that drama can be resolved and we can maintain the overall focus on getting games and having fun.
- We want an atmosphere that is fun, but also competitive, and team-oriented.
Requirements - If you want to join us...
- You need basic knowledge of your class, and more importantly the ability and willingness to learn and improve.
- You need to know english well enough to communicate in full sentences. Sorry, but community is too dependent on open and effective communication.
- You need to be classy. Difficult to enumerate this, but we know it when we see it. Flaming the other team, calling people bads, excessive arrogance, taunting, farming, griefing, etc. Those things tend to disqualify you. So do other things, like simply not fitting in with our guild's community. Sorry, but sometimes that's just the case. We'll give you a decent chance if you're not doing anything actually bad, but if you just rub people wrong, we may decide to part ways. Community building is hard enough with people who get along.
Current Needs:
Healers and ranged dps, in that order.
Good players who prefer other classes are welcome as well, since it's relatively quick and easy to roll alts, and we're not in a hurry.
Guild Rules
- Be classy.
- Help your guildies.
- If you're dominating, finish the game, don't farm.
- Don't use bugs like Mechanical Sheep or potion spamming
- No FAPs, Magic Dust, Charged Crystal Focii, Rum stacking, Fish Feasts or other consumable buffs.
The reasoning for all this is that we want games more than we want to farm, and the more we focus on that, the easier it is for people to join us, and not feel like they have to spend hours farming consumables just to compete on a level footing. We have an agreement with the alliance about keeping the use of consumable buffs low, and they know that if someone decides to try to get an advantage by stacking buffs, we can out-buff them anyway if we chose to.
Applications
We don't take applications. But we do expect you to be able to figure out how to download the wotlk client, make an account, roll a char on horde Ragnaros, level to 29, and vote at least 10 times over the course of a week to save up vote points for a transfer to Lordaeron. If you can't do that, even with the info available, then you probably aren't going to work out well in our guild anyway.
If you make it past that small barrier to entry, we'll give you free enchants and boe gear, and then see how well you play in duels, arenas, and battlegrounds. If you meet the minimum skill requirements, you'll be an initiate with us, and will have a chance to get to know us and join our community. =)
