F2P Monk Gear

LZ

Legend
Armories?

I know how to gear a healer but don't have much of an idea of what to stack, if anything.

Albinocow @ Misha - Community - World of Warcraft Belt of wild because intel hardly increases your healing and it gets your enveloping mist to haste break point and still have a good amount of stamina. Bis would include lfh and mtb, i dont run trinket because of smeld and positioning.

Thanks. Given that int is hardly worthwhile, would you consider using Cobrahn's moots over Sacrifice; how important is spirit? Do you have a bunch just because int's inneffective or because MW monks need it?

And for horde I'd assume I'd use uninsured braces as well?

Use rompers. Spirit is good.

You would use Mindthrust not unisured.

mw barely oom's even if u spam soothing mist for a straight 10 mins u may just reach oom, and that will never happen. They are the most mana-efficient healers. i havn't tested crit, obviosly its as good as most other healers. I dont think using cobrahns is advisable. But i can tell u, no matter what ur sp really is, anything above 100, u can heal for 130k+ in any wsg. Spirit is an additive, but even in 10v10 premades the monk is the last to oom, by a long run.

black elements > uninsured then as well?

Yes

MW goes oom if you have to go melee, it's the cost of their awesome damage. Stance of the Wise Serpent - Spell - World of Warcraft you want spirit for the hit.

Haste>Stamina>Int>Spirit>Crit

something like that.

So what my monk will probably look like

BOA Shoulder
Cloak of the sorcerer
BOA Chest
Uninsured bracers/black ele
gloves of the hero
Vision belt
bfd pants
romps
advisors/SW sig
argas/SW sig
trink
bm trink/haste trin

Probably not gonna farm MTB or MM. the one's where I haven't decided, I'll decide based on my playstyle and see what works for me. thanks goes/albino.

if u have to resort to using melee, other then on hunter pets, your in more trouble then oom'ing. Have you ever played f2p restricted mw?

Can be very useful on an EFC if all your teammates are topped. MW dmg is very good. Yes, yes I have.

Well that's the thing. You don't have to farm it, just buy it on AH. MM can be picked up for less than 50g most of the time. MTB goes for around 5k gold but that isn't that big of a problem if you do your dailies :).

if I see MM i'll buy it ofc, but I haven't seen it.. MTB... not worth it for me. At least right now. my 90 was boosted about a week ago, only ilvl 510 or so, and I need to buy enchants, a yak, probably a chopper or a golem, before 5k on MTB makes sense for me.

That's your choice.

Then if you played you should know that unless you are seriously doing dps 30-40% of the time, you have no mana issues. If your dps'ing that much then 1. your team is dead because of your lack of heals 2. your team doesnt need you healing, in which case i guess u can argue, as a dps mw monk u need a nice amount of spirit. Even if you oom thru melee, your regular mana regen(with ~15 less spirit because of gear choice difference) is more than enough to top everyone since your heals arnt mana heavy unless you spam only soothing mist, even then your mana regen can hold up without the extra spirit. crit>spr honestly. I have had many 140k+ healing games and never oom'd on that character. If he was horde i would most certainty have more crit gear on. however stam and haste are still more beneficial. Also the mw setup u listed is under the haste breakpoint of enveloping mist, your losing ~170 potential healing on every enveloping mist you throw out.

Well just by doing a few jabs here and there you will oom after awhile. I'm not saying you will go oom all the time I'm just saying it is possible to go oom as an MW monk.

Int is def more valueable as a monk due to the small amount you heal with your soothing mist you wanna increase that as much as possible. It's not like you will be without crit.

Add a swift hand of justice.

i believe this is untrue if i use shoj.. the set i listed would have more haste than your monk if i do.
but, does haste cape + wild belt get you to breakpoint if you don't use shoj?
