low level tanks and paladins out of control

So I tried returning the flag today in the gulch, FC was a protection paladin. I attacked him, it must have hit maybe ¼ of his health. He then slooooowly turns around, and literally globals me in 2 hits, TWO HITS. What gives? What is this garbage of low level pvp?

“holy wrath hits you for 577 holy” critical

Used to be OKAY. Tanks could not do much damage they were just “bulletsponges” or “threatholders” and absorbed damage. Sure they had lots of cooldowns compared to their dps brethren but they. Just. Couldn’t. Do. Much. Damage. I guess now tanks evolved into these pseudo-dps type all around specs which fulfill every role by some healing, massive damage and mitigation cooldowns and just huuuuuge burst damage.

So as damage dealing, tank specs do about 3x the damage of “DPS specs” . Prot warrior/paladin/brew monk is out of control in low level. Its demotivating to see higher numbers as blood then frost.

Low level paladins are also a thing I have at. I think when you click the “Paladin” class it means you name your toon “faceroll”,or better yet” bullshit wtfhappened yoloswag class” and go on with it until early 80s

It is now unlocked at level 10, also silences with a blanket silence. BLizz employee must have been on crack because..silences..level 10..level 10 . Don’t remember any blanket silencing abilities unlocking at level 10. I don’t think it slows you now but there is a glyph for it. Knocks off about ¾ of health even of fully Boa targets. PS it also bounces around and hits 3 targets. Insta cast 30 yard range. Polymorph and pyrobast that ^^..o wait. SILENCED~!

Holy Wrath

Also unlocked at level 20 which is quite early on. Does not share a GCD with some abilties . Also hits for about ½ health on an average “DPS” class and debuffs with this weird homogenized “weakened blows”

Cleanse

Removes everything…sure, low level pallies had Purify as holy. It only removed 1 poison and 1 disease off you. I think at one point the devs said…aaaa ,fuck it , just make it cleanse everything because paladins weren’t one-shotting in battlegrounds and were not OP enough

Lay on hands no longer drains all your mana, Hammers of justice now stun for their full 6 sec ond duration even with low level pallies . Crusader Strike is now unlocked at level one. To top this all off you have uber-heals and immunites which have five and 10 minute cooldowns. Double with clemency .How can one even die on such a class


Movement speed increases

You can LoS other classes, incase you fucked up, because you are a paladin, or because you have very little brain cells but…you can still los because….aaa fuck you, as the blizz paladin employee said it. Yep, that’s right. He said “fuck you” and gave paladins an array of abilities at low level

I also have beef with low level warriors but no so much as with pallies due to them not being able to heal but they are still nearly unkillable dps machines


Shield slam devastate revenge. What the fuck happened with the abilities getting tossed around like the merry go round. Are you kidding me revenge unlocked at 26 and 1 second GcD. This is just outright bullshit.


Shield Slam[/B]-it’s a 6 second cooldown Ambush, which requires no positioning(e.g being behind), no thoughtout plan, and it procs a ton of shit. Also gives lots of rage. Surprised what the interrupt part is gone they should have kept it for uber ownage because low level warriors aren’t op enough

[B]Devastate[/B]-now comes with free applications of Sunder Armor. Unlocked at level 26. Does about as much damage as shield slam, which is ½ of an averadge DPS’s health pool. So. Charge, shield slam. Dead. Rinse and repeat.

Revenge-now just on a 8 second cooldown, usable at any time. Uhh, shouldn’t you at least parry to get a revenge? Its called a “revenge” afterall, shouldn’t something be a prerequisite first...na-aa, the only thing you are avenging is the 8 second cooldown the blizz employee put there or the GCDS. They should remove them altogether so I can make a Swifty macro /Cast Shield slam /Cast Revenge /Cast devastate


Most twinks know what front loaded instant damage is the key compared to having build up charges or stacking dots.


These classes don’t need setting anything up, they don’t need to build up their “resources”. They DEPLETE resources, meaning they start out with them FULL and get to use them up instead. Then wait until those abilities or resources come off CD.

These tank classes also come with a boatload of defensive O-SHIT MASH BUTTON abilities


So what the fuck is this game design I should be able to beat a class at any spec and just about at any level, but instead I cant even pull a cast off or die from rogues in 1-3 hits. So is Blizzard telling to wait until 90 to play, because 1-89 does not matter? Wait a minute, 1-89 is 90% of the game! So,from what I am seeing is I shouldn’t play pvp at all? I see why people make all these quitting posts now, and what garbage the game has evolved to. Makes sense, because yeah. I am pissed.

So you want to level as a damage dealer until mid 80s? Too bad. Tank specs are better then any other 2 trash specs


tank SHOULD NOT fill a role of a DPS+tank at the same time, when I clicked on my role as DPS I thought I should outdps the ''tank'' whose role is to take damage. When tanks dominate DPS charts in 5 mans, something is clearly wrong.

So wait, let me pause for a moment and get this straight. I am a fucking tank, then I am a fucking dps, then I do more damage then a dps, but then I am a tank at the same time. Da fawk?
Ask these questions yourself. What is even the point of the DPS role?

Wait, same happened at the beginning of mists when there was no cap on vengeance. Mid-level tanks were destroying faction bosses and calling DPS bad names because they were “not dpsing enough”.

Calling foul, either this is a big conspiracy for us to play tanks to lower the queues, or Blizzard has gone full retard. Which is unsurprisingly nothing new. I suppose might as well get rid of all DPS and just all go tanks. That’s the only logical solution


I think I am going to roll 6 trial protection pallies and park them under the graveyard and see how many kills I can amass and prove how broken this class actually is at low level

As for prots. I do not believe that avenger can crit for 1k without zerk on f2p with full str set, if it's with zerk then meh. While prots seem horrible vs nonhealing classes, they're not so good (except for silence + stun) vs healing classes, they have no burst, they have no pression, they can only throw a few abilities with 6+ sec CD, while hunter/rogue/arms/feral puts pressure all the time and has burst. All in all prot palas were really good since MOP, wars became god-like in 5.2 i believe, then damage formula for Shield Slam was changed.

Yes, F2P tank classes are extremely powerful relative to WotLK twink tanks (hehe, twink tank). But they most certainly do not have higher damage than (as said before) Arms, Ferals, Hunters, Eles. In FACT, according to tests done by Wizkid, Retribution paladins have more DPS than Prot paladins. If true, then both of the DPS specs of Warriors/Paladins have better DPS than the tank equivalent even at our miserable bracket.

There are worse things to QQ about.

... And yes, at 70 Prot Paladins are easily the worst thing I've seen in terms of balance at any point in this game. They're the most abusive arena-able Class/Spec this game has ever seen, since early MoP.

And yet... Oldspike has a 70 ARMS warrior at 2k rating, which some noob Hpally healed him to... Odd... Those two classes are considered non-viable past 1750 at the 70 bracket...

Honestly Prots don't get too dangerous with Nifflevar. I'd be more likely to cringe at Avenging Wrath, which they get at 72.

Most of the Prots in the bracket stack crit to 40-50% percent, so that their wombo combo does the most damage, but they're the dumb prots.

The really scary ones stack strength :/ I have a BiS Hpally at 70, with full BC stamina gems. He can be one shot by one or two of the top protadins.

I think it's also worth pointing out that you got globalled by a total of 1367 damage. Even glass cannon specs have more health than that. Some more gearing on your end might be warranted to even the playing field.
